If you read the original thread, there is a guy from the street that the kid pulled this crap on that posts. Who's to say that it wasn't that guy that got the authorities involved? young people do do stupid s**t i agree im 18 i look back the next day and say wtf was i doing (just messing around jumpin off roofs onto trampolines and s**t like that) but thats still no excuse, but i have not and never will go that fast in a residential area, no matter what car you have a lamborghini or a civic, if i saw some one, dont care how old or young, doing that in my area i would deffinatly call the cops on his ass

and not everyone throws a CAI on there car and takes it out for a ride asap to see how its runs, obviously some things you do need a ride right away, like a new suspension set up, i took mine out around my block so i can listen for any weird noises and something weird in the ride so i can go back and tweak the coilovers so on my way to work i dont have a wheel fly off becuase my suspension failed on me because i didnt check it after, but when i put my exhaust on i just left it in the garage, its an exhast or CAi its not going to do much, i just turned the car on making sure there were no exhaust leaks near the bolts.

for the kid to turn the car lose damn, uncalled for in that area, i wouldnt do that on the highway, spend the whatever amount to go to a track or drag strip to let it lose that fast, dont do it where there could be little kids around outside running around, hell really dont do it on the highway, my friend totaled his GSR (rolled a few times) after a car cut him off while he was goin 140 lucky to be alive and thats what he says everyday, now if he wants to let lose in his new gsr he saves up a little extra cash and goes to the strip, not flyin through a residential area

Yes this kid is dumb for what he did, i agree with that. If your going to drive fast on public roads at least pick a better, less developed spot to do it, but for someone to tell the cops that for one doesnt even know him and should really not care that much in the first place is just wrong. You missed the entire point. The guy that said something did care very much, he lived on that street. With family and kids. All it takes is one miscue. Not even a miscue sometimes, a freak accident. I witnessed a guy driving about 20 over in his mazda 3 on the road I used to live on, he flew by me at about 50 on a 30mph road, dude had something in his front left suspension/wheel/tire/lug nuts go horribly wrong, and the s**t instantly pulled hard left, and because he was driving too fast, and it may have been only 20 over, he drove into someones yard, crunched the dog, drove through their front porch, and wound up in the living room watching the 5 o'clock news with the family on the couch next to him. What if dude's tire went out at 90mph and he took out that guy's kids, or even the guy himself? What then? Oh well, they shouldn't have been walking down the sidewalk? They should know better to move when a car is driving that fast? Seriously, think about what you said, and why in fact the guy should care about it. You're only 17 so you get a little break, but come on man.

Greddy 16g w/ emanage and profec e-01 on a ls/vtec and a daily driven d16y8 turbo. Sooo ya. Get real, they are civics. Theres a difference when the one your modding has 100hp+ per liter

You're obviously not seeing what I typed. Most the people on here don't go all out with their motor builds, either building up a high compression b-series or a fully built turbo b/d/whatever. I don't deny the fact that a turbo'd D/B or a HC B won't be fast. They are. But, I'm basing what I said off of baller_ivy's current setup, which, judging by his avatar, is a d16y8, n/a. Not fast.

I honestly, wouldn't take my car out onto the highways or backroads and open it up. I wasn't raised to do things like that. That isn't saying that in anger I haven't sped.
