I ordered a computer.. and am insanely excited! I can't remember the last time I was this anxious to get a new "toy". As long as it all works when it gets here, it's worth every penny. sooo awesome.

LOL so much for taking your time to research and build one later this year...?

At least post some specs!

I couldn't.. I just couldn't. lol. I started researching and got more and more and more into it... Had to order.. and then I justified it by saying it's my present to myself for getting my Master's degree, and some rebates were about to expire, so how I could possibly wait any longer?

CD/DVD drive
Antec Lanboy Air Case
Asus AMD Radeon HD 7970 Graphics Card
Corsair power supply (750W)
8 GB (2 x 4) G.skill ram
ASRock Z68 Extreme3 Gen3 ATX LGA 1155 Motherboard
Corsair hydro liquid pcu cooler
128GB Crucial M4 SSD
WD 500GB HDD
Pair of Blue CCFL Neons
25' ethernet cable
15' HDMI Cable
Intel core i5 2500k processor
Windows 7 Professional
Xonar DG 5.1 Sound card
Logitech m510 wireless mouse
Logitech k750 wireless sola keyboard

I think that about sums it up :D

Not bad at all. You should be pretty well satisfied with it. I have the same mobo and like it a lot. The GUI BIOS has a ton of settings for overclocking just about everything. You can even use presets built in for 1-click overclocking beyond 5GHz. I set my 2500K at 4.4GHz and just fine tuned everything else for stability, and then forced tighter timings on the memory also in the BIOS. So how much did it all run you after rebates, if you don't mind me asking?

^^I already beat it on Xbox... I don't really plan on getting it for PC. Maybe some day when the price is down or there's a good Steam sale, but not until then.

You will definitely want a controller for Dirt 3. Trying to play with a keyboard is possibly one of the most rage-inducing things ever.
True statement. I have a lot of driving simulators and games, and the best investment was a logitech G25 wheel. Before that I had a logitech driving force pro (purchased for a playstation 2 with gran turismo), which worked great on the PC too. I think I still have it stuffed in the back of a closet somewhere

^^I don't really want to get a wheel, as I have no where to put it (my apartment is too small for my crap, already.. well, mainly my girlfriend's crap..).

I've already got an xbox receiver coming in. I'll be using an xbox controller for most of my pc gaming.

Parts have already started coming in. So far I have:
WD 500GB HDD
Xonar DG 5.1 Sound Card
Keyboard
Mouse

The keyboard and mouse are both REALLY nice. They both look really good. The mouse has a nice design that makes it very comfortable to hold, and gives really easy / precise control. The keyboard has keys that strike a balance between silent and loud, high profile and low profile. The keyfeel is really nice too. I got both of those for free from my Dad (he sells office supplies for a living).

Tomorrow, my case will come in, along with some other parts. The last of the parts should arrive Friday. I hope to have it up and running either Friday night or early on Saturday.

Yea, I'll be using my xbox controller, just waiting on a receiver to come in, so it can get the signal.
