Read this whole thread...

God damn. Probably one of the cleanest and most detailed build I've read yet. Keep up the great work!

So much work, money and attention to detail invested but I just cant get over how you used screws to mount the intake duct in the bumper... that and wasting so much money on a pos chinese header.

:wtf:
the duct is supposed to be rivited on... he just chose a nicer looking way of doing so.
and a Bisi header is far from a "POS chinese header". try doing some research before knocking a quality build.

Well you tell me how I'm supposed to mount it. J's racing gives you coarse thread stainless screws. I used stainless machine screws, and locking nuts. Hell I even used nylon washers under the heads so it didn't mar the paint. And last time I checked a Bisimoto header which will run you about $800 isn't a POS. Maybe you didn't get past the second page.

theres no world where that header is a pos.
Also i dont think the duxt looks bad at all thats the only way to mount it and its supposed to be done that way.

Well here's your pics. Progress has been slow since it sucks to block and sand and nib and buff. Pretty lame stuff. Pretty great results. Okay well here are a few pics of some of the progress.
Started off the day with buffing the spoilers. And a comparison of the oem duckbill to the VIS one if you ever wondered. The carbon duckbill is about 1.5" longer than the stock one.

Here's the rear hatch, nice and trash free now.

roof before buffing. Just nibbing out trash. I'll get an after when it's done.

My friend snuck a pic while I was buffing a little.

End of the night. I had to paint my friends ctr wheels and some pieces and it took some time away from my car.

The hood. It shiny as hell. I'd buffed the s*** out of it.

But there is a thing about the hood that bugged me. Small dents I didn't see. Just here and there from it being a beat ass old japanese hood. It's not bad.You can't even see them in pics but it doesn't have a place on this car. And it pissed me the hell off so I went to the dealership and bought a brand new hood and gasket for the front. I've also got other stuff on the way so I'll have pics of stuff tomorrow since the hood will be here then. So more good stuff in the near future.

^^This attitude = reason this car will be flawless...

defintly agree the car will be flawless, but no reason to put all that work in and then have somthing that bothers you on it.

Yeah as far as the hood is concerned it wasn't really visible on a stand which is much higher than it would be on the car. And since the hood is round 2 different ways it hid the spots from the sides. But get it way lower where the car would be and get a look from directly above and in front of it and you can see the little bastards. Very shallow dents here and there where I didn't do any bodywork. Hell I wished I'd wiped the entire hood since all my bodywork looks good. But i don't have time to fool with all that sanding/filler/priming and blocking. So I spent the money and got a new one. Now all I have to do is sand it and spray it. Well followed by re buffing it.
Anyways here's the new hood and new gasket for the leading edge of the hood.

I flipped it over and scuffed the bottom getting it ready for paint. Now I need to wait for an opening in one of the booths so i can.

Well I've made headway on my car. I really don't get to work on it all that much. I did Sunday and some today.
Here's the roof pre buffing

Here's a pic of the roof post buffing.

Right Quarter panel post buffing.

I installed my door and sunroof by myself. Fun stuff. The sunroof is harder than it looks by yourself. Got the gap just perfect. I can't stand poorly lined up panels.

But Not everything goes the way you plan. I had the left quarter panel all but buffed but there was a nib that was pretty gnarly in the base that I wanted to get out. It was pretty high up. I buffed it and it was almost out but didn't look like I wanted to. So I buffed it and then more. But then it had a tell-tale look to it. I knew I had to hit it just a little more to confirm or deny what it was. So turns out there just wasn't enough clear there to fix it. So now I have to fix the Left quarter. No big deal I just have to re buff it. A crappy experience for sure but hey what can you do. Fix it and move on. I'll be happier in the end. But here's my F up pic and then it re sanded. I'm not ashamed to show it because it will not be there or seen It would be different if I was a noob and just left it and hoped people didn't see it.

In a good turn a few Honda pieces I ordered came in.
