Ok here's today's progress. I had the wheels all broken down at a local tire shop. $10 for that lol.
The goober heads left the valve cores out on two wheels. It's a good thing it doesn't matter just yet. But the progress you'll see took hours to do. Turns out the paint on the wheels sands really easy. I wouldn't have thought that. But it took a while to clean them, then sand and clean them some more and hand and tack them. I got really lucky on the trash since I didn't see any when I left. It takes a little bit of time and skill to actually paint wheels. It takes about 3-4 setup adjustments on your spray gun for each wheel and extreme caution.
Here are a few pics from today.
Wheels broken down

Taken all apart

Sanding in progress

All hung and cleaned

Primed

And after a little time and 2 coats of black here are the results. Solid lovely shiny black. No lame red ring.
As far as the color. It's Volvo Trucks America black. It's just a good black in Dupont af400.

Got some goodies in the mail today. Probably the last of the Honda parts I "needed" lol. Just more new goods to replace the worn old ones while I can still get them. Plus a few knick nacks I really just wanted.
First thing I saw when I got home. My J's racing oil cap. Making my car a little more J's inspired.

Then about $700 more from Honda

This thing will be done in the next 3 weeks. So progress will be swift as I need to get it ready for Import Alliance Summer meet. But You'll see the progress as I get it.

nah that stuff all sucks. I'm going to buy 2 sets of everything for a hatch in the near future before they start to discontinue stuff.

Well if you buy smaller parts and lots of them it's way cheaper. Even with a factory discount unless you know someone that works there.

Well I haven't had a lot of time to work on my car recently. I've worked every day and have worked on my car during my lunch breaks. I also built another b20 bottom end. The additions other than being built with OEM parts with RS machine pistons and new bolts and such were a gsr oil pan/windage tray/ oil pickup, as well as a KMS girdle and Eagle H beam rods. Improvements for sure. All balanced and made as pretty as they can be. Here are a few pics of the build and one of the install. I really didn't take pictures of the in and out or changing the bottom end. I left my camera at home because I took my GF's car to my work and the camera was in my car.
The replacement

Old one out and taken apart

New one all in and running

My front J's Racing tow hook installed.
