I really wish I could see every post as I reply to them, but I can't, so I'll just go with the few that stick out the most ;) nothing personal to the rest of you, I'll address your replies when I get to a real computer.

First and foremost, thank you to each of you who have replied, any and all feedback is appreciated.

Puma: no hard feelings, I totally get you, I've been much worse of in the past, I actually did live I'm my cart for a while, in TN, during the winter. Really, but, I was a drunk then, and look back on that whole experience as a lesson learned. I don't drink at all anymore, haven't so much as had a beer in 8 months, liquor even longer. But, that is a while different story, and not a part of the issues at hand. I wasn't looking for a pity party by any means, just wanted to vent.

To the person that mentioned Target (i believe it was connie) I unintentionally burned that bridge many many years ago, long story short is they have a very strict "no-call, no-show, no-job" policy that they stick to :/ even though it was 12 years ago, and I have a very solid work history since then (up to 1-1-11 ironically, when I became a full-time stay-at-home dad)

To the person who mentioned the logistics thing, I'm pretty sure that'd require internet service, which, I don't have.

To the person who mentioned cape canaveral, that's VERY close to where I live but again, with one running vehicle, it's too far to walk with a 2 year old.

I don't remember much more off the top of my head, so I'll get back to topic, while I was out driving around looking for help wanted signs, I stopped at brighthouse just for s&g, only to be told the minimum payment they would take to restore service is $300. which really, really sucks, because if I had sold this motor BEFORE they came out and did the "hard disconnect" I could have payed $140 and they would have worked with me on the balance.

The only thing I HAD left of value was my laptop the wife got me for fathers day, when brighthouse told me $300, I immediately took the dell to the pawn shop :( I now have a full tank of gas, diapers, and food enough to last til my wife gets paid again.

I'll be honest with y'all, I'm not "d@&#-in-the-dirt-poor" but I used to live so much better than this paycheck to paycheck bull.

I am a very optimistic person, and I try to help people as much as possible. I don't drink, I don't do any kind of drugs, and other than a bit of a caffeine addiction (yea-yea, "caffeine is a drug" save it.) I'm as straight laced as they come. I'm a firm believer in karma, and "pay it forward" so don't flip s**t on me in a few months when/if I'm I'm a better place, and the coupe starts getting worked on. My wife works full time, and her schedule is really weird, having one car would be an epic fail from the word go.

She is off wednesday, and I'm going to go to Brevard Work Force to see what, I'd anything they can do for me. They use employ florida, which I look at everyday and apply to anything within the realms of my situation, but, I was just made aware that they offer job placement and some other services, so I'm gonna look into that :D

Someone asked what my field of expertise is, I just remembered that. I am an ASE certified former Honda tech, I went to NADC (Nashville Auto Diesel College) I have multiple certifications from Kenworth, Freightliner, Ford, etc. I'm also certified in all aspects of Honda, with the exception of hybrid batteries and the Civic GX (the service manager wouldn't let me go to the courses because they don't see enough of them to justify it :( )

That being said, I have been unemployed since 1-1-11, I was let go 12-31-10 due to "downsizing" and received unemployment for 1 year, but, that ran out a long time ago, we've been getting by on my wifes income, and my doing sidework.

Sidework has been sporadic at best, not a reliable source of income at all. Which is why we got the coupe, that and titling issues with the hatch (again, not the topic at hand, but I chose to add it for detail, and so that y'all would understand why I have 2 "project cars" which, I don't.)

I am hoping to be gainfully employed asap, my sons B-Day is on the 4th, and although he won't know any better, I still wanna be able to do something for him, he quite literally saved my life, a b-day gift is the least I can do for him ;)

I think this is probably the longest post I've ever made, and I'm sure it's slap full of grammatical errors and auto-correct ownage, but, it's whatever. I have vented, and I honestly feel better. Hell, even my stress headache is gone :D

Thanks for reading, if there is anything I didn't clarify, please, feel free to ask.
For the smartys out there, my favorite color is silver :p

Target is ALWAYS hiring. Especially since it's back to school season, Halloween, and then Christmas. Perfect time to get a job with them. Hell, I've been with the company for 5 years.

d**k's Sporting Goods will hire anyone and they have BCBS insurance! Only thing is they will work you like a dog...

Golf courses as a cart guy. The pay is s***, but you get to golf for free plus you get to rub elbows with CEO's and network from there.

I'm more frugal than Kelly and do without A LOT of materialistic things. I haven't had new bras, underwear, and socks in 2 years. I haven't had my nails done in 4 years since my wedding. I stopped wearing makeup 3 years ago. I clip coupons as a hobby since January. The most I've saved is 76% at Dominick's. I sit in the dark during the day and open the curtains for natural light. I use to only do laundry at night, but my eyes aren't the greatest climbing down into the dark the basement with just a tap led light. I fell down the stairs.

I take advantage of free days at the zoo's, aquariums, museums and local small farms. I go to the library to check out new movies, books, and cd's for the whole family. My daughter goes nuts with the puppets, puzzles and games. I use to hit up the library for free interwebz when I was in college 1000 years ago and didn't own a computer... We go on long walks around the neighborhood to the various parks in the area so she still gets some interaction with kids her age. I'm still debating preschool since it's $2k-$3500 a year for 5 days a week.

Kelly? Overweight? Apparently I must need new contacts because you look healthy to me. :?:

If you're near Cape Canveral there is still lots to do in the area for free. Gotta look into it man!
Connie, I'm more frugal than you think; I just don't post about it.

I coupon clip now, I shop ONLY at the local farmer's stands for produce. 5 ears of corn for only $.89? OK!

AC is kicked up...down..whatever way makes it warmer, when we're not home, window panels drawn tight. I've never left lights on.

I've always gone to the library all my life, and I'm constantly crawling the city for free events. Rob and I seeing a movie last night was a splurge, and we opted for the cheaper cinema b/c our favorite one wanted $15.50 a person, vs. $10.50 a person. We took in our own food/drinks in my bag too b/c it's too pricey.

We've mutually agreed we're not celebrating Christmas, in order to save more money, and put it to more important things.

I haven't bought make up in years b/c I was a make up artist, so I've got traincases full of un-opened good product too. Connie get at me and I'll ship you some if you want!!!!!

Yes...I'm 190lbs due to all of the medical issues this year. Yup...announced my fat ass on a public forum! I've gained a ton of it w/ my last surgery in May. :(

ANYHOW>......OP!

You've been on here a bit longer than others now. Joe is near you, Connie is familiar w/ your area, and there are others in FL. I'm sure any one of us will step up, like some of us have, and help give you options.

I applaud you for airing out some of your business, but you didn't have to. I might have been riding you, but dude...I understood instantly that you're trying when you weren't fighting and you were openly venting/wanting options.

Do you guys rent, or own your home? I'm a broker's assistant; I'm pretty familiar with housing, as well as renting laws. There are options for you guys concerning your monthly payments. Let me know if you're interested.

my $.02

When i couldn't find a job i had applied all over the place and been back multiple times. at some point i realized that i couldn't find a job because i was putting it all on myself. I prayed to God that he take things into his hand and prayed that HIS will be done in my life. No more than two hours later i had two job offers from starbucks and a pizza company (Xtreme) i went with the pizza as it was the first one. Point being sometimes we try to handle everything ourselves when all we need to do is give it up to the Lord.

Jer 29:11: For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

good luck to you Tim you and your family will be in my prayers. and stickers soon=)

As far as not having internet goes, I thought I read somewhere that you have internet on your phone. If I did read this, you might be able to do some of the mechanical turk stuff on there. I know one of the types of jobs that is frequently up there is to type certain keywords into google, and then enter the link of the best search result. If you do have internet access from your phone, take a look at this link, and scroll down to the mobile section:

http://www.mobenzi.com/intelligence/index.php/types-of-tasks/

Also, check craigslist for odd-jobs.
You could also develop a new skill to support yourself. I know a lot of people have recently gotten into xbox repair on craigslist. You don't need much equipment (maybe $30-50 worth) and can charge around $40 a job. They'd bring their console to you.. you fix it while they wait. In an hour you've made $40. I would check craigslist and see what kinds of services people are offering that you might be able to learn and start offering as well.

So, yea. Title pretty much says it all, cable just got cut off :( I'm not looking to get flamed or bashed, I new it was coming, but dammit things just aren't working out in a timely manner. Bills are piling up, I can't find a job to save my life, I have 2 5th gens that don't move, and now I'm stuck listening to mickey mouse club house dvds :/ Hopefully my next sale goes through, if not I'm gonna really start stressing :banghead::banghead::banghead:

The last thing you want to do is stress man, easier said then done, but its not worth to stress over anything. Stress leads to health problems. If you're willing to settle for any job, just do some job hunting. Apply anywhere and everywhere. You must have some experience in something, so use that a stepping stone.

:edit: Remember to always attach your resume to the applications.

No problem. I hope it fits your situation. It'd be nice for you to be able to pocket a little extra cash from home.

@Hecz thanks man, I take it you just read the first post though lol no worries, I was just venting, actually a lot of good came from it, a few speed bumps, but in the end I got some really good insight and have a new game plan, the cable was just "the straw that broke the camels back" so to speak.

@R3dline Thank you JayZ, your input is very helpful :sly:

I'm sorry, but I just don't believe in the power of prayer, and I come from a very religious family.(grandfather is a minister).

Not one time did I ask a higher up for help; I merely changed my thought pattern and finding the positive in every little thing I could.

I'm not saying "OMG prayer is bad, blah blah blah". I just don't suggest it.

This. Again, not hating, just not the time or place, don't get me wrong, I'm open to any suggestions, but I'm not gonna hold my breath either. I've been worse off before, I know it'll get better, I'm just ruining short on patience.

On a positive note, I just so happen to stumble upon an amplified antenna, hooked it up, and got like 37 channels our something like that, granted unless you speak spanish (I don't) or LOVE jesus (we're friends, but he never returns my calls lol) then in reality, I get like 6 channels... I can watch "Big Brother" on cbs tomorrow, and my son is watching pbs as I attempt to type this, so, that's a plus =)

I couldn't sleep last night (was up til about 6am, slept til son woke up at 10am) but I looked at houses in the area we're wanting to move to, and I found quite a few I like =)

I typically don't sleep much (the Navy completely ruined my sleep patterns) but I honestly think that once we're in a better place, I'll be able to get on a "normal" sleep schedule. I hope so anyway.

Applied for a few jobs down there, hoping to hear something back soon, but haven't figured out hire I'll get there just yet, hopefully everything will work out and not turn into an epic clusterf&#@...

You're defending our country and not able to pay bills? Obama needs to send you some money dude! and I know not everyone believes in Jesus, but doesn't mean you couldn't give it a try. I'm not a bible thumper, I just enjoy letting people know my beliefs, take it as you wish.

Another thing is having no job can be hard on the other person in the relationship, give your wife a hug and say thanks for all you do and your understanding. Being down all the time can take its toll so don't let other things go. I learned this the hard way lol.

I know first hand all about that, I've been on both sides of the one income boat, and honestly I was less stressed when I was working and she was home. I guess it was like a break from reality, and I really miss that. As much as I'm gonna miss my son, and as much as I don't want him to go to daycare, we just can't survive on one income. My wife and I tell each other daily how grateful we are for one another (we both came from HORRIBLE relationships) as Forrest Gump once said, we're like peas and carrots, or, to get really cliched, she completes me. Lmao, seriously though as broke as we are, once you take all the stress out of it, we've never been happier. (WE have, together, before money got do screwed up, but I meant more into the past, like exes)

Looking back on my life, I might have done things a bit differently, but, you can't change the past, and I don't look back with regret, but at lessons learned.

I've missed my father every day since his passing, but had I not lost him, things would be completely different, and I wouldn't have my wife or son in my life, and I don't even want to imagine a life without them in it.

*end halmark card*

It is what it is, and it's not what it's not. No sense in feeling sorry for myself, just gotta try harder.
