Well, after a few weeks of total bullshit, both the Ex and the Si are now reliable.

Long story short, the Ex's battery died because of being outside during Sandy. I unhooked the Si's battery in order to charge it, and in doing so, the chipped P28 in the Si reset itself. Hence the reason why it's been running weird in the videos I posted on the FB page.

Anyways, instead of going to a shop and pay out my ass, a friend is making me a new chip to put in the ECU.

In Ex news, the car wouldn't start for a while after I removed the aftermarket alarm it came with. Turns out one wire needed to be spiced with another. Had a friend help me with it, because I suck with wiring, and it's back to new.

I also got tons of new fuses to put into the Si, a new OEM armrest delete, which I traded for my factory armrest, a new hose for my overflow tank, and a fancy magnetic bolt attracter thingy. It's pretty sweet. haha

It's getting closer to the time when the Si is put away for winter, but in the mean time, a couple more pics of her. (She's dirty as hell).

Changed the spark plug cover up a tad

The dirty girl

That is all.

Why thank your sir. She is quite the girl to say the least. Moody at times, and tends to get dirty quite quickly. But no matter what happens, i still love her to death.

What happened?
I took out the battery to charge my other Civic's battery, because it died after the storm. As it turned out, because my ECU was chipped, it reset itself and bogs out every now and then. it's completely inconsistent. But I have a friend who made me a B16B chip so I'm waiting for it to come in the mail then throw it in. But this is from when the car shut off and went into limp mode.

For those who care:

The reason why I am selling my Civic's, is because I've reached my breaking point with both cars. It seems every time I touch either car, trying to make it better, it ends up being worse. I can't have 2 unreliable cars in my possession, especially with school and trying to find a part time job, it doesn't make sense.

If I get what I want for both cars, I will hopefully end up getting a newer Civic Si sedan and then buying another Si down the road (I.E. maybe 10 years or so). However, I plan on getting a shell and build it from the ground up.

But if neither car sells, then I will continue the route that I'm on. If anybody knows anyone looking for a Civic, have them get in contact with me.

Thanks. Sorry for wasting a good 4 minutes of your life.

Makes sense to me. Unreliable cars suck when you don't have time or money for it. Plus 8th gen si sedan are sweet.

Yea. Plus, if I can't get what I'm asking for either car, (both are steals), then I will just keep them.

It's still for sale. Until the right offer comes along, it's staying with me.

Well this might be the final "update" for the car until winter is over. As of right now, the car is in the garage and ready for winter storage.

Final wash:

Plans for winter:

-install new OEM clutch
-find and source the wiring problems

Hopefully both will be relatively easy. But I feel good about both, because now I'm not rushed and can take my time on both. In the mean time, I'm rockin' the single jingle!

Plans for this car are simple, if I keep it for a while:

-5spd swap
-Roll fenders
-Lower profile tires
-Maybe 15" rims
-Front lip
-Skid plate
-Crazy low capable coilovers

Call it a day.
