you should try to open a detailing business
I've been trying to build up word of mouth clientele since I work full time, but I've been able to do a couple cars and made 200 bucks this weekend and got that header! I love it man!
Looks good man! I have a Red 97 CX, this is good inspiration for me to get out there and work on mine!
That's awesome dood! Start a build thread and so I can follow you!
cars looking good man! you will have so much more fun with a swap in it
Yeah I can't wait! I met a dood this weekend who had the corbeau fx1 pro seats that I wanted, I got to sit in them and I was so disappointed. So now I'm just putting money towards my swap. I'm gonna be saving for a while unless I can stumble across some other odds and ends I need for the hatch.

Thanks everyone for following! =)

keep saving for the swap man, you wont be disappointed. even with just a B16. rode in mine for 2 weeks with the non vtec sohc and aside from the gas mileage it was sooooooo boring.

the detail job looks good. wish my paint was worth washing/buffing. got a small spot of surface rust starting to appear on the roof by the driver door I gotta take care of. might hit maaco up soon lol.

Word dood, I take so much care with mine keeping lots of wax on it cause its always outside, so I go overboard in spring (like last year) when I do a full paint detail, I put 2 coats of wax on after and re wax every month washing it once a week.

Really you have A4's?? I've been dying to talk to someone about them and the fx1 seat in comparison, I don't know what was up with his seat, they were kinda of older but the fx1 models, lightly worn and slight fade to the material he's had them for a while he said. Anyways, the bolstering was perfect! I felt like the seat enveloped me when I sat in it, only thing is the posturing. I felt like the seat had me sitting at exactly 90 degrees or more, leaning me into the steering wheel, and the thigh support for my legs wasn't even there, it felt like I could slide forward out of them if that makes sense. I loved the side to side feel though. I was real sad cause its a great looking seat, only if it leaned back a bit further to feel planted into the seat and behind my knees/under my thighs were more supported or raised higher. It's hard to explain.

Have you sat in them before?? If so your take on it? And how are the A4's posturing and support?

yup i got them. i like them a lot, and they are recline able so you dont have the uncomfortable seating angle issue and passengers can crawl in the back easier. i like the side support and they hug me pretty good but im not a real big person at all. only 5'10" 150lbs. ill have to go look into the thigh support since i never really thought about it, but they are recline able so they dont have a real deep bucket to them like non reclines do

That's whats up, I'm in between getting the fx1 pro seat anyway and just getting used to it, or buying a brake kit. I read lots of reveiws that people loved the fx1 seat and were super happy with it, I guess since his were older and he was bigger than me the broke in to his body and posture was different.

well keep in mind that if the seating angle was uncomfortable, your stuck with dealing with it. a recline will be more comfortable for daily use and holds plenty well

I just set my seat at a slight recline for just cruising...and move the rear bolts up one slot for some fun driving.

Ok cool, thanks a lot guys I'll problably do the brakes first and figure seats out down the road. I really need to stay on track to start working towards the b16 swap. I really appreciate the input, thank you.

dooood... It sucks sitting around and saving but it will pay off once you get your motor. I am slowly about to get rolling again but sadly not with a motor. Not the time yet. I have a gut feeling for you man I know you will be getting somewhere soon. Keep it up.

What did you mean move the bolt up? Do you adjustable rails or side mounts? And what brand?

I have buddy club super low down rails. There are 3 mounting locations on the front end and 5 on the back end. Instead of mounting the seat perfectly level (which I prefer for spirited driving) I place the rear bolts slightly lower than the front to give me a bit of a recline for daily driving.

That's sick! Where did you get your rails? Corbeau fx1 will work with buddy club rails.

From jhpusa. Not sure who will have the lowest price on them now but they are commonly used so I'm sure you can find a deal somewhere
