What are you taking? I really need to start taking one, but I ALWAYS forget. I don't like taking pills of any sort. That's part of the reason why I opted to have the no baby surgery - I forget to take the pill.

Last I checked outside was free and it's better for you too. A treadmill forces you on a constant pavement, outside utilizes different muscles.

I do my sit ups and push ups at home, and run/walk my neighborhood. s***ty weather I do down and backs in the garage.

I'm reading a lot of excuses.
I want to take a multi-vitamin too. I'm always tired in the morning.

And this. I HATE treadmills. I love running outside (raining or not) because it's varied terrain and you have to get to a destination AND come back. You don't just stop whenever you want. You push yourself harder.

I take a lot of home exercises from my best friend who plays in the Lingerie Football League. Some of those simple work outs (that don't require equipment at all) will kick your ass!
I don't like to use equipment (except dumbells for lifting and such) because some of the hardest work-outs rely on your body and fighting gravity.

I just like sight-seeing while I run.

Oh, and F*CK yoga! s***'s hard as hell. I'm very flexible, but I clearly lack core strength and stability.

Dude... that's so hard for me. I'm not flexible at all and I have a lot of back problems. Which would probably help....

You're talking about resistance training. You'll gain the most strength from doing things like that (i.e. grab an Iron Gym. Work out on that thing for a few months, every day. You'll be able to knock your boyfriend out by punching his thigh).
I have a few friends that are personal trainers for this crazy extreme resistance training stuff.. they have a harness that goes around your waist and over your back, you strap it to a monster truck tire, and drag that b***h around while doing high-vaults. GNARLY. They're both giant bricks of dudes.

No seriously, I can barely use the hand, and I'm not strong enough to do one handed up pushups lol.

You can still ride a bike.
It's hard to wrap my hand around anything at the moment, but you are right. I have a mountain bike, so I usually set the gear to the hardest one to challenge my self. I have pretty strong legs from riding bike a lot before and always using a lower gear.

and you can walk and run and do sit ups. you can do jumping jacks, squats...so and so forth. I have broken or jammed every single finger I have and it didn't stop me from anything. Jammed fingers are easy. if you can't get it back in, snap a popsicle stick in half, smash the tips so the edges don't get snagged, grab some tape, and you're done. give it a week or 2 and you're perfectly fine.

My left pinky and ring finger were broken in a car accident along with other bones years ago. All healed correctly but the fingers, and they're fused incorrectly. They look fine but I can't use them. I have learned to do everything with 3 left fingers and you wouldn't notice either unless I pointed it out, yet somehow I can still wear a glove and catch a baseball on that hand.

Hurts like a MOTHERF*CKER when I catch, but it still doesn't stop me.

We went and had a burger. Not necessarily the best but that's what he wanted.

I REALLY want to do kick boxing. That looks like tons of fun.
And Matt has been getting me to come climbing with him (that's his thing) it's pretty fun. KILLS my forearms and hands.

And chiropractic really doesn't do a whole lot. I did it for years. I was thinking of trying massage. Not the relaxing, smelly oils, flowers and harps massage. Like the gnarly medical massages. I have the WORST knots in my back from being thrown around on horseback for 11+ years.

I used to teach MMA/Kick Boxing classes. If you find the right person, it's a hell of a workout!

I've been going to the gym on a strict, regular schedule for about a month now and ALREADY I'm starting to see the benefits. I have more energy throughout the day, normal day to day tasks at work are getting easier with time, I'm slowly getting stronger, etc. I can't wait to see where I'll be in a year when I've kept this up.

As far as multivitamins go I take a daily probiotic that doubles as a multivitamin. I have IBS, and the probiotic helps immensely with my digestive system. I could probably still do with a more complete multivitamin though.

Also taking Amino's to support muscle growth and recovery

And a mass gainer

Andddd a post workout protein shake

I've been hittin this whole "gain weight/get in shape" goal pretty hard =) I'm lovin it!

IMHO, you should be seeing results faster. Are you changing up your regime ever month to two months? Also, how long are your sets? Do you increase them? If you want to gain mass and bulk, whey or creatine are your friends. You're a skinny dude, so breaking that barrier of 20 pounds of muscle is friggin hard, just a heads up haha.
I was super skinny (122lbs!) when I started working out, back when I was about 15-16. I ate crap loads of carbs and protein (chicken and pasta! Healthy, but all that good stuff!), worked out every day, took protein shakes before and after really hard workouts (muscle-intensive, mainly resistance, since I didn't do weight training), and got my cardio up. I found the key, for me anyway, was to have set reps.. set reps of pushups, sit ups, crunches, then jumping jacks, then weights: work on arms for a set period of time, legs, abs, dead lifts, leg presses etc. I would switch up my entire routine every 3 weeks to a month. Basically, rotate between 3 or 4 routines. The idea is to constantly keep your muscles from adapting to the routine you have.
After a year, I gained 35lbs of muscle, and was fighting in a different age and weight division than I should have been (the benefit of being 5'11 at 16 haha).

 I like your response to that quote.

f**k me that's a lot of responses that I don't want to quote lol.

Kelly - I take a store brand version of One-A-Day's Multivitamin for Men. I went through the Supplement Facts and they're 97% identical so I figured I'd just go the store brand route to save a ton of money. I usually take my muscle medication to make moving around at work easier, so it's easy for me to remember to take anything else. I was so doubtful of vitamins but a few friends of mine told me it's a world of a difference and now I'm definitely a believer.

Osiris - Sounds like you're just trying to come up with excuses. If you wanna get better, you gotta work for it. That s**t just don't come at you overnight lol. Also, try to be mindful of how you physically act/move. I used to think my body was in horrible shape because stuff would hurt all the time but I started paying attention to how I moved around and it was my own fault for putting my body into the shape it got into. Improper lifting was the biggest thing. It just takes one wrong move to make your life miserable every day. Baby steps dude. Just keep at it.

My best friends fiance does kick boxing and she LOVES it. Definitely an AWESOME work out.

And I love getting my massages. As painful as they are most of the time, I always feel better afterwards. Just remember to drink plenty of water after! I made a mistake of not drinking any after one of my first ones and I was aching and sore ALL over.
