    Seat Lowering Question

Wait, what? What year/model? If its the 5th gen in your picture they didn't have leather stock back then neither did 6th gen. Not in the US. From what I have read, there were some dealers that were sending the seats out to be done in leather at local shops for special customers as a sublet...

    2010 Civic Brake suggestions

Stop Tech and Hawk are a great combo. I currently run Zimmerman rotors and Textar pads. I don't like to cheap out on brakes though. It's one of the most important safety items on a vehicle. Plus cheap s**t always throws a bunch of dust all over everything and they tend to be noisy.

Looking For Purple Paint, That's Not A Wrap

We have 2 customers here that have their Panameras (1 a first gen and one new) wrapped. Both in matte white. One looks fantastic, the other terrible. It all depends on who is doing the wrap. It is easy to **ck it up. The wrap color is good on both but the seams, lines, any bubbles, the...

    Car running like s**t

To be specific, your light does come on but not stay on. Depends on the ecu. My car has stored faults for minor misfires to bulbs being out, to control units not communicating properly. The CEL doesn't actually flash or stay on most of the time. Depends on the fault I believe. The most...

It has less to do with the year of the car as it does the motor. What motor is in each car?

Looking For Purple Paint, That's Not A Wrap

Amen. I have never seen a rattle can job that looked good. Sure most can make them look good in pictures but in person up close they look terrible. It's one thing to paint a front valance or smaller pieces with rattle can paint but to do a whole car and have it uniform without a TON of...

Proper Way To Clean An Engine Bay/Engine

Definitely agree. We won't do them at work because they are notorious for creating problems. Even if done right. A lot of shops like to "up-sell" this type of service. We don't because it isn't needed as 90% of our customers have impeccable maintenance records on their cars, but to be fair...

Proper Way To Clean An Engine Bay/Engine

Yes, but keep in mind that others have found that flushing out the inside of a block has loosened sediment and gunk that you would otherwise want kept where it is at if it is actually that bad. This goes very well for Honda automatic transmissions. They are notorious for dying shortly after a...

    Best gaskets?

You do realize that Honda most likely doesn't "make" the parts they use in the cars when it comes to gaskets, orings, etc. They farm out the work to companies like felpro. I agree about using OEM parts but it's misleading to tell people that they make the stuff. Just as I always use an OEM...

    windshield trim (water canals)

Dealer won't likely stock something like this but they can certainly order it if it is still available at their respective warehouses.

Paint supply stores like sherwin williams can put what ever color you want into a spray can.

Are a '93 sedan and H/B rear bumper cover interchangeable?

No. Part numbers are different. I believe sedan and coupe have the same rear bumper though.

    windshield trim (water canals)

I would hit up the dealer. They can't be that expensive. That or find them at an OEM wholesale supplier online, but shipping could be larger due to the size of the pieces. What's the car? Trim line? Took 2 seconds on a wholesale site. $66+ each side. Number 5, 6 and 7 in the picture...

Proper Way To Clean An Engine Bay/Engine

I usually use simple green at home. Stuff is cheap and plentiful. At the shop we used something called Detsol (sp?). I don't know if it is even available anymore but it was heavy duty stuff and only available commercially. I never did an internal engine flush. Never felt the need. I know...

01' civic lx no crank,no start.

That one is for the cruise so it deactivates if the pedal is pressed. That won't cause the car to not start though and isn't really a bother unless you use the cruise control.

Proper Way To Clean An Engine Bay/Engine

Worked summers at my cousin's professional detail shop way back when I was in highschool. We pressure washed everything. Door jambs, trunk sill, entire engine bay, underneath, you name it. Only thing we did for protection was covered the distributor in a plastic bag, covered any engine bay...

Ah yes, clutch interlock switch. Most people fix that by gluing washers or small hex nuts where that plastic piece should be.
