What are you doing / did you do today / CHAT THREAD

I have not, but I haven't really started looking just yet. I had an interview with Symantec in DC, which went well, but they said I'd be a better fit for a job in Seattle. I've been to Seattle before, and it was nice, but I don't want to move that far west just yet. And that's awesome. Are you...

I'm actually a sys admin but the 4 of us in the US-IT dept. all share help desk duties, including my manager. I probably do the most though, since I'm at the bottom of the totem pole (two guys here for 13 years, my boss for 5, me about 3.5 straight out of college). We deal with 16 offices...

I 10000% feel your pain. I've done a lot of help desk the last couple years, some people just need to stay away from computers. Last year I had to call Dell to service a laptop here, because the user spilled oil on the back cover of the LCD screen (he works as a service tech out in oilfields so...

automatic to manual swap, can't get a straight answer

Do you have an EX? You mentioned D17A2 in your initial post, but D17A1 in this post. Take a look here: http://www.clubcivic.com/forum/pages/7th-gen-honda-civic-specs/ 4th gen is for 89-91 Civics.... quite a bit older and very different compared to 7th gens.

automatic to manual swap, can't get a straight answer

:welcome: What year car do you have? I ask because you have a 7th gen motor but you posted in the 4th gen section. That will make a difference... I assume you have a 7th gen auto. How hard did you search? Literally the first link from google...

We got some snow. Had some parking lot fun last night after the gym. Work now, but super excited for this evening.. I'm trying my hand at my very first brew! Picked up a solid kit which came with ingredients to make Amber Ale, so I might as well give that a go first. ... And this weekend I'm...

1996 Civic starting & idling issues

p1298 is a very troublesome code to diagnose. Chances are, your ELD is good. It's detecting a higher than expected input. Check ALL your fuses to ensure they're of correct amperage too (not just blown), and check / clean all grounds. Double check fuse 15 under the dash as well. EDIT: You're...

    Scam articles

Yeah, the issue is that the spam is all coming for various IP addresses, so we can't just blacklist a certain range. We can ban them easily once we see them, which in return also manually blacklists that specific IP... This has been our best method so far. I usually try to catch them every...

    '05 Civic hot air issue

I don't think that would matter though, to be honest. Regardless of that setting, if the air isn't coming out hot (assuming it is set to hot), there is another problem. I never, not even once, have used the recirculate button in my cars; I always have it set to fresh. It's 25* with a feels like...

    '05 Civic hot air issue

Clogged heater core or air in the coolant system can cause that to happen as well.
