    94 Civic Boggs

:welcome: We need more info. Trim? Motor? Engine mods? Auto/Manual? When's the last time the maintenance was done? is the CEL on? If CEL is on have you pulled the code(s?) If CEL isn't on does the light itself work? Does it bog down when the motor is cold? Warm? both? Does it bog down at a...

Give me a ride pls :)

Good luck. This is a Civic forum not a forum for all Hondas. There's 1 active SK2 owner on here and he lives in Miami. ... And absolutely 0 NSX owners. Sorry to break your heart lol

    D16z6 on p2p ecu

Not sure how it all works over there, but here in NY if you have an ODBII car and step down to an ODBI motor with correct ECU, you can't pass inspection due to failed emissions

    Best brand for fluids (brake/transmission/coolant/washer)?

Haha, I don't use RainX myself, I was just amazed by it every time I rode in my buddies bimmer when it was raining. Did not know it smeared and hazed though! @SidCivic I retract my previous RainX statement.

    Cigarette lighter not working

:welcome: You haven't tried everything. Otherwise it would work. ;) Did you check if the power adapter has been disconnected internally? I know with 6th gens it's a common issue that the plug becomes disconnected right behind the center console. For me I had to pull all the plastics off...

Always go used - assuming the condition of a used book isn't that bad, you'll sell it at the end of the year for probably the same amount you bought the new one for. I only bought new in college when it was mandatory. That or I didn't even buy the book. Work and then heading to the driving...

    Best brand for fluids (brake/transmission/coolant/washer)?

No problem! PS if you ever get rain down there I would recommend RainX wiper fluid

    HELP!

P0505 is idle air control valve (IACV) code, though it can be caused by many other things like a vacuum leak, bad ECT sensor, TPS, etc. Did the ELD CEL go away? You have a fluctuating idle so it sounds like you have a vacuum leak somewhere. Check for any disconnected hoses and look into how to...

    Best brand for fluids (brake/transmission/coolant/washer)?

I'd stick with OEM Honda. I use Amsoil for my MTF but with a brand new car, I'd stick with OEM. As for wiper fluid, it doesn't really matter.

Yeah, I heard a few people were from MN; they announced where everyone was from before their first run. That's a hell of a drive haha

    Is a D16Y7 worth rebuilding ?

I wouldn't go any further than that with stock internals. If the motor is healthy, of course.

Take a look at this thread: http://www.8thcivic.com/forums/clutch-transmission/493553-new-clutch-wont-go-into-gear.html Your issue is probably in there somewhere

    EJ8 keeps misfiring.

If it's running better with the defouler trick then you have a bad sensor or cat (my guess is cat, see below). The defouler trick pushes the sensor further from the direct flow of gases, so it tricks the ECU into thinking the cat is doing its job as the sensor detects cleaner air. If the car...

I saw a WRX yarr into the back of a range rover once. Pushed the range rover through a wooden fence and over a small shrub. Only damage to the rover was some scuffs and a small dent where it was rear ended. WRX was totaled. Poor WRX owner was ballin his eyes out too  Went to Poags Hole...

Ended up getting a handle of captain last night instead of beer. Lets just say my housemate puked in his bed, all over his sheets, pillows and blankets. Also puked in the bathroom but didn't quite make it.. it's on the floor, bath mat, and even the shower curtain. He just puked this morning...

    Is a D16Y7 worth rebuilding ?

I did a mini-me y8 swap, and Cary is exactly right - it was not worth it.

    Shifter movement.

Could be a bad motor mount or mounts; engine is rocking slightly when you let off the gas.
