Yes, I had it for a year. It's auto so my wife can drive it. Although, my Civic is a manual.

well if your looking for motor with a lsd tranny then 5k is cutting it very close. your best bet is to get a gsr and trade the tranny for a type r tranny.

P.S. how much for you D16 let me know.

For me, I don't like the concept of trading parts that don't belong to one another. I think I'm going for the ITR motor. So, it is just a matter of finding the motor that will fit to my budget. I don't plan to sell my D16 motor. I will keep it and use it as a weekend project.

I found a local place in my are who will do the swap for $500. Now, all I have to do is find the motor.

hmm just turbo ur d series!!!! u will have 100 hp or more if u work on inner engine parts!!!! liek in 5 grans u can boost d series up to 245.....some people think its alot for d series but i think it isnt if the engine is built for a boost!!!

you can get waayyy better numbers than that on a D. But you can still get even better numbers with that ITR built. Yeah sure its more cash, but this guy has an NSX (so i dont think money is too much of an inssue)

Well, I thought about the turbo. But, my d16y8 is 100500 miles old. Actually, Edelbrock turbo is already available for d series and it is dyno at 176HP. Also, they have a new turbo kits for drag and is claimed to produce 245 whp.

an h22 will bolt in with no welding do reasearch and get what suits you and your driving style

Motor with LSD installed? or ship separately? Also, do they come with oem clutch/flywheel?

The JDM K20A TYPE R Engine Swap is selling for $5500 (I only have $5k budget but maybe no more than $6k) complete swap. How much work is involve on this swap? Picturing how to re-route the AC, PS, etc. is another extra $$$.

My goal is to gain at least 180HP stock with LSD on a engine swap and most importantly reliability. As much as possible I would like to retain all stock insinde the engine compartment expect for the motor. But, most importantly reliablity and may be a turbo kit after I paid of my NSX. Remember this is my daily driven car.
