it sounds like your sold on the itr swap.. and since you want a comfortable 180 that is what you should go with, but just fyi a 96 to 00 b18c1 with just the newb thing to do...which is i,h,e puts down about one 160-162 to the wheels, but i'm gueesing with cams and valve springs and being tuned right it would be put down a greater amount of power.

If you are not worried about cramming a turbo under your hood then you might consider an h22 (easy 200hp) . you can get one from the following link http://www.totaljdm.com/?id=27509 for like $2400 shipped (in the U.S.). I understand you'll need some other parts like engine mounts and such that can be purchased as a kit from aftermarket companies, still no welding or cutting required as far as I've heard. I'm not sure who makes the kits, I know hasport has some stuff. but I think an H22 would definitely give you bang for the buck and be well worth a little research. I'm pretty sure that's what I'm gonna do with my 99 hatch once I get the cash.

If you are still set on a b series engine you can get a real deal JDM b18c out of a 97-01 GSR for $3,149 from the same place http://www.totaljdm.com/?id=27509

you can also get the following options if they are in stock.
Axles: $75 USD
Shift Linkage: $70 USD
LSD: $400 USD

sounds like a good deal to me. Hope this helped!
