actually the guy im getting the basemap from has been tuning for more than 5 yrs......if you dont believe me go talk to him on turbod16.com.....his name is turbo1.5
im pretty sure he can get the basemap close enough to where im aloud to hit boost .....and i honestly trust him more than you guys so i could care less what you guys say to me....im just here to share my build .....if you dont like it go post somewhere else.....

im gonna disagree with the way your thinkin green. I dont think the engine seeing boost during break in is a terrible thing. I dont think he should beat the piss out of it untuned, but i think an engine built for boost seeing boost during break in isnt a problem at all. As long as the Air/Fuels are tuned correctly obviously.
well his A/F ratios are not tuned correctly thats why i ask.
we are not trying to put down your setup, we are trying to save your engine.
no one wants to see a engine blow because of something simple as a tune, but it happens all the time.
the old quote "oh im only going to drive it low boost till i get a tune", even then they have damage to there engine.
your pushing it more, adding MORE boost and beating it untuned.
no a BASEMAP is not a tune, its a BASEMAP to get you to a tuner/break in engine, not beat on it.

anyone know of where i can get it tuned in missouri......its hard to find a obd0 tuner.....and the fact that your sayin its untuned is incorrect.....it has a tune....maybe not the best.....but good enough to hit boost......

i thought all u had was a basemap? Again, i never said you shouldnt hit boost because of the engine. but you shouldnt hit boost on a basemap. its not worth it.

"Ah when I began tuning my cousins car it was falling on it's face left and right lol now it pulls so hard that his Exedy clutch cannot hold the power! The clutch he has is new as well. I can generate that kind of power out of your set up. With your compression ratio being so low I can increase the timing more than what I previously thought was safe. Believe there will be a difference! I am helping a guy out in Cali that has a all motor dohc zc. I made a bin for him that really improved power so I'm confident that I can do the same for you. Man I wish I could tune it with my wideband to make the most power possible!"

unless its done on your car, in your area you normally drive it, it still wont be perfect, might be a little better, but you have to take in account, altitude and location.

i've heard of those kinds of tunes. a buddy of mine has it on his RSX. a guy sends him a BIN file to upload and its supposed to be worth a f**k. It is IMPOSSIBLE to judge ignition timing without a dyno.
BTW, this guys RSX has more work done to it then my CRX and made 10 less horsepower.
i watched a vid on mega squirt, i think he used a focus coil pack for his.....that stuff is crazy weird though....how does it work?
does that autotune work pretty well.....it sounds like it actually tunes itself?
