lol i read it all and got all the info im just sayin ppl shouldnt start the neon s**t again, it happens all the time i think next time sumone sais sumthin bout it just give the link to this thread and leave it at taht

Actually, I think Todd is giving some of the least biased input on this thread. And he's not really wasting his time arguing with people like me who just admit that I=biased.

Seriously, though, if I were going to trade in my hatchie, it would be for a Mazdaspeed MX-5 Miata. Not an SRT-4.

by no means am i saying that the srt4 is the end all of all cars... it's far far far far from it... but it's a good deal cost wise for the speed you get, and so far there hasnt been any problems with them as a whole..... but people hating on them just because it's a dodge are no better then all the import haters out there

Too many in this thread can't open up to the fact that a neon is faster for the money, handles just as well, and costs about the same. Quality has gone up a tremendous amount as well.

Just because it's a domestic doesn't mean it can't be just as good or better than an import.

I'm not hating on it cause it's a dodge. I'm hating on it for a much more specific reason... It's a dodge NEON. Yeah, it's fast as hell, yeah for the price you get a ton of performance. But you must admit, the Neons didn't have a very flattering or trust inspiring production run. Honestly, if 6 years from now no strange problems come up, I'll do a complete 180 on my SRT opinion.

I'm not worried about the fact that it's a Dodge. I just know the history of the Neon. Dodge has been improving since 2001, but I think that these improvements still need the test of time.

The srt is a great car, dont get me wrong. But as fast as it is, at the end of the day it's still a NEON.

i've said it before and i'll say it another thousand times i'm sure
but saying that the srt4 is just another neon is like saying that the evoVIII is just another lancer... they have about the same amount in common

dude they were racing a like 1985 hatchback that had a crappy exhaust thats all. I could beat one running. Let them take on a newer civic same year as their crappy neon. NEON's can lick my ass.

that's because mitsubishi makes a kickass turbo. the stage 3 upgrade kit from mopar even uses the the turbo/manifold out of the evo VI. alot of companies and cars use mitsu turbo's.. like all greddy kits use mitsu turbos also

Of course it's a Neon...unless you are at the Dodge dealership. The salespeople will swear that it's not. Must have had an internal memo at Daimler Chrysler about that. :lol:

just like the EVO VIII is really just a lancer evolution viii and the sti is just an over glorified wrx
