when racing in a race track, every little split second counts. for honda, you have to spend like $500 and it will probably wont or barely get you 1/2 a second faster in the quarter mile. so losing weight on a car without spending money does make a difference. if weight doesnt matter, how come i see people complaining at the tracks " man, i didnt get the time i wanted, i was running almost a full tank of gas" 1 gallon of gas weighs about 8 pounds. most people run 1/4 of a tank of gas. also, if you go to the tracks, when your racing, time your car numerous of time by yourself and also time it with a passanger in the car. you will see a time difference.

umm you cant be running 127 is your sedan is an ex, which im assuming it isnt due to the fact that you say your sedan is lighter than his ex coupe. the lx motor doesnt have 127. plus that axleback adds a whopping 2hp, maybe. and it looks like total s**t along with those wheels, where i come from youd be deemed a ricer.

any loss of weight will be better. if gutting vs not gutting wasnt affective, why would people do it??? heres a little thing ive witnessed and talked about with a guy at a dragstrip. he is running a completely stock b16 with straight pipes, gutted crx. oh yeah sorry he runs very ow 14's. gee gutting that car must of been the stupidest idea he has ever had....

your right, it doesnt matter when your starting off with a slow civic in the first place...he's not driving a race car...to completely gut out your daily driver is just plain stupid, especially if its already slow

okay, here we go... to start off yes my car is a LX, secondly there happens to be a D16Z6 somewhere under that VIS hood. call me a ricer, the car came back from the body shop like that (wheels are junk thats why they are on there) the car has no lip kit ion it for that reason also. i actually have 17s on the car now.. call me a ricer again thats fine, why would i worry about speed when it looks good? hmm

anyway moving along to your buddy with the CRX... somewhere around here theres a 1989 honda civic std model with a stock B16 with i/h/e FULL f**king INTERIOR mind you running 14.29 and since it is an everyday driver yes gutting it would be a stupid idea. just like i told the previous person im not goin anywhere so if you dont want to hear what ive got to say then leave.
