yes u will loose power steering and air conditioning because the engine is too big for that but u dont need that stuff u can do with out so i say go with the H22 to get more hp
no. read before you post dumb s**t like this. You DON'T have to lose a/c or p/s. You have to move them around as well as move the battery, if my memory serves me right.

I guarantee though that you can keep all the extras.

get on your knees and blow me, sucka.

From Brian @ Hasport:

"If you have a Hasport kit, use the Prelude PS pump, it just slightly interferes with the core support near the headlamp. About 3 minutes with a die grinder fixes the problem. As someone else mentioned a custom hose is needed. We usually just braze the end of the Prelude PS hose onto the Civic hose. The reason it doesn't work with other kits is because the engine sits too far to the left and the pulley for the PS is under the framerail.
As for AC, I have seen it done with our kit using the stock Prelude compressor and bracket. Custom hoses were made and they dented the core support so that the compressor clutch would clear. I would bet you could use the HCP compressor bracket with stock Civic compressor too. We will offer a compressor bracket next summer. We do not offer one yet, because we are in the process of switching to a casting to bring the price down on the B-series as well as the new F and H-series compressor brackets."

Custom fabrication, yes. But possible.

He also said "94-95 Del Sol VTEC powersteering hose will bolt straight up to the Civic rack and the 94-95 Prelude P/S pump".

Jesus you really need to calm down imracin101. First of all the H22 doesn't just get installed, you need to upgrade your suspension, get new mounts from Hasport or Enjo. I got mine from Enjo. You need a new shifter, linkage, resistor, 94' integra axels, new belt, new hoses recommended new radiator for bigger motor, and a lot of wiring issues. So it's not just installing it. Brian is just saying you don't have to lose the A/C and P/S. Do you have a H22? Didn't think so. So you wouldn't know if you have to lose anything.

As far as H22 vs B18c1/5 I went with the H22 cause it is not as played out as the B-series but they can both get a s**t load of power if done right. Good luck on whatever you do.

:word:

I like how he said "nothing special" or "custom made". Yet aren't we making a CUSTOM/HYBRID car?

EXACTLY! ......it just comes down to personal preference if its between a H22A and the type R B18C the cost difference between the two motors equal out once you've gotten all the necesities for the H-series motor. I'd go type R just because im not interested in torque since i dont tow anything with my civic and im a lil lazy with the install. Just let us know what you're gonna do man....either way it'll be a force to be felt ya know!

B18c5 is NOT JDM. B18C5 is the USDM ITR motor. The jdm version is either a b18c6 or 7. I know you said JDM just because you think it sounds cool.

B18C- JDM 1.8L DOHC VTEC- 94+ Integra SiR-G (180ps)
JDM version is B18C Spec R straight up no numbers

The H22 And the B18C are both sweet motors. Both fast. Both rare swaps in a civic. Do whatever makes you feel good. And stop being a d**k to everyone you wont get very far with no people to support you when you ask questions.

Unless you can get your hands on a EuroR H22. Alot of power from that one.

hmm little one line comments for ya..

h22a is a track engine.. for going straight.. put out lots of torque get good tires or slicks.
dont plan on charging a h22a they dont charge well
b18c is a bit slower but you would be happier with it.

if you plan on street racing (which you shouldnt) the h22a IS faster..

charge = ?? Turbo Im guessing? H22a loves NOS though. 75-100 shots are no problem on a bare block.

b18c's do handle better, until you get a good suspension system and then its a moot point.

Everybody says this over and over. It does not f**k up your handling. You just need to buy stronger springs to make up for the added weight. I have 2.5" on the rear and moved to 1.5" integra drop springs on the front. Works just fine.
