Nice car.
Sweet car, welcome to CC. Holy crap, talk about thread jackers. You should come chill over at turbod16.com, I realize you have a B-series but we dont discriminate. Its the most laid back enviroment I've found on the web and I've been to a lot of forums. We dont have any pointless fighting (as we have here) mainly cause our mods dont tolorate Ricer-know-it-alls, if you want real information from mature people, you should come on over.
I did want to make a couple points however, sorry to threadjack your post some more. First, the b16a, as stated earlier, has a R/S of 1.74, 1.75 is considered a perfect R/S ratio. Spoon didnt spend hundreds of hours trying to figure out how to make that engine rap to 11-12krpms, in its stock form I'd say its good to 9500rpm, all they did is put some stiffer valve springs in and some lower duration, lower lift cams to prevent valve float. Also, there is no reason to rap a car higher than stock if you are going turbo, the only reason you need to rap an NA car higher than stock is because the higher you rap the more power you make. Which is not true about boosted motors. Depending on the size of your turbo, the power curve will begin to falloff in the higher rpms, for example the T25 off an eclipse is good to about 5krpms after that there is an extreme drop off in power. The 14b on the other hand which came on earlier Eclipses, will pull hard to 6500+rpms.
Oh yeah, one more thing.
That is all.
