haha, i own a DAP.....i'll tell you why it seems purple.....i'm guessin its the pearl part...but there are very small red flakes in the paint if u look closely(can't be proven with a camera), red and blue makes purple, there you go folks
in cloudy conditions, it appears to be blue, in bright sunlight it appears to be purple, end of story....
so so next time u come across a parked DAP civic, walk up and look very closely at the paint, u will see the red flakes i'm talking about

But in any case... I would not call the color purple. In some cases it looks purple, because of certian light conditions. Thats like calling camelion paint blue or green, you cant because it consists of so many colors. I still say to call the color purple isnt right, it's violetish-blue. Thats the end of it.
I know I havent started the car yet. I walk by it everyday in the shop and all I want to do is work on it but I've got so many other things to do. I'm going to make it a point this week to finish it up... I've got some wiring trouble shooting to do so its going to take some time. Maybe a bad sensor or something, I'm not sure.

Great f**king build, serious jaw dropper. I only have two suggestions. Perhaps a carbon fiber hood would compliment the black roof, but no biggie. Also, you might want to take off the rear rubber wheel well linings. Honda was stupid and put metal inside of the rubber pieces that is not stainless so the exposed metal begins to rust and warp making the rubber want to peel away from the surface. This allows for water/sand/whatever else to get between the paint and rubber piece making the rear quarter panel rust right by the rear bumper. You've prolly seen it on many Honda's people often refer to it as Honda rot. Then again, this is one of those cars that will prolly never be driven in the rain.

Sure.. I wouldnt want to know how expensive OE Lamborghini paint would be. But I'm stating that the price shouldnt change just because of the color. The body shop told me to look through a book and pick what color I liked, I asked did it matter which one and would the price go up? Thanks for your comments guys, but anyway lets change the subject of the paint.
I've been messing around with the car after hours and it seems all of my sensors are good. The car still has no spark, and I only get one error code with my KPRO which has nothing to do with spark. I've changed the coil packs, plugs, used 3 different ECUs, 3 different conversion harnesses, I even changed the engine harness and still no luck..
I'll find it sooner or later..
