Yes, AEM makes a direct bolt in intake for a K20 into a 96-00. It's soo awesome it fits PERFECT.

The box is only a few inches down into the tunnel, the exhaust clearance is not an issue. However, since the exhaust is so close to the box, I'm going to wrap it with thermo wrap to prevent any melting of the plastic box, or silicone sealant.

There is a clearance issue, thats why the fan is designed to push air into the radiator, instead of pulling. You can mount it on the other side, but this car will have A/C so it gets in the way of where the hardlines are going to mount.

No problems with it.
