UPDATE! Not good.
Well today I was driving from my mother's house heading home & I needed to stop by a bodyshop for a quote, when I first pulled up I smelled coolant, opened up my hood & water & muck was spewing out of the radiator cap & the temp was almost full on hot, so I let it cool down, the mechanic there hope I didn't fry the head or gasket, filled it up with water & drove home, almost to my house it gets hot again, open the hood & water is coming out of the cap again, I didn't have any water to put in so I waited 15 minutes with the hood up, then drove it home less than a mile & got hot again but made it home, opened the hood & only steam from the cap. I pulled the thermostat housing apart & no thermostat, so I looked at the cap & saw the rubbers were worn & one of the clips that screws it in place was bent out a bit so I replaced it, while I had it all apart I pulled all drain plugs & bottom hose & flushed it out. I put everything back together & filled it up with fresh coolant, let it run till it got to normal temp, took it for a drive & came back with no overheating or leaks of any kind, temp stayed normal, also it was dark out so a real test will be tomorrow when it's warmer. That's my sad tale today but if it's not fixed then it may be the water pump which I might as well change out the timing belt whether it needs it or not.
