Thanks man, I am going to put some decepticon accents in the car, wanna put one on the valve cover, I need to get another one so I can work on it at my leisure, then I could swap them out & have a good looking cover, mine looks like s**t now.

Well the valve cover to start, then maybe some interior pieces, I'll get more ideas when I get that far ahead, right now focused on engine bay & getting bodywork done so it can be painted.

I have knocked a few fender dents out when I had them off, one still may need som bondo & the rest I have not touched yet, getting a body & paint estimate on thursday because my wife said I got $500 to work with plus some of the money I make repairing computers I should have about $700, do you guys think I can get a decent paint job (base/clear) for that amount of money?

It depends on your area man i know i could, but we have a family friend that owns a reputable body and paint shop he does all the work on mine when i destroy them or cant fix them myself. I got alot of of body work and paintmatching one whole side of a previous car for 600 cash so i would think you may be able to.
Do you know of any good shops to take it to it would be keeper if you can do all the prep yourself or at least most of it.
Most places will cut you some slack if its not an inusrance job and you pay in cash.

i would do as much as you can, like for how much it cost to get the body work done, i know i can often get a new part cheaper. like a fender for 20 bucks versus 40 to get the body work done

UPDATE, just a before pic

Got another valve cover today for $10, it has some red paint on it but I'm getting it off slowly with a dremel, think I'm gonna polish the letters & paint the rest in blue.

you look at a junkyard? i get mine for 4 bucks. also i would just use a wirebrush or wire wheel. its much quicker. paint stripper helps too or carb cleaner

Using wire wheel on my drill, smaller ones with my dremel, & some detail bits to get all of the paint around the letters, I already pressure washed it with purple power all over & got the inside clean, started on the outside but have some other things that need to be done like fix customers computers, that's the money I use to get things done to the Civic, so priority has changed ATM.

UPDATE! Not good.

Well today I was driving from my mother's house heading home & I needed to stop by a bodyshop for a quote, when I first pulled up I smelled coolant, opened up my hood & water & muck was spewing out of the radiator cap & the temp was almost full on hot, so I let it cool down, the mechanic there hope I didn't fry the head or gasket, filled it up with water & drove home, almost to my house it gets hot again, open the hood & water is coming out of the cap again, I didn't have any water to put in so I waited 15 minutes with the hood up, then drove it home less than a mile & got hot again but made it home, opened the hood & only steam from the cap. I pulled the thermostat housing apart & no thermostat, so I looked at the cap & saw the rubbers were worn & one of the clips that screws it in place was bent out a bit so I replaced it, while I had it all apart I pulled all drain plugs & bottom hose & flushed it out. I put everything back together & filled it up with fresh coolant, let it run till it got to normal temp, took it for a drive & came back with no overheating or leaks of any kind, temp stayed normal, also it was dark out so a real test will be tomorrow when it's warmer. That's my sad tale today but if it's not fixed then it may be the water pump which I might as well change out the timing belt whether it needs it or not.

I also went ahead & installed a thermostat, forgot to mention that, not that it helps much but I believe in having one in.
