Ah, but you learned alot I see? Don't worry, I know what I got myself into and feel perfectly fine with that for this buildOh man, I wasted all my money in like 2003 on a build like this. Man if I had that money to spend differently now.
Normally a dumb question would receive a dumb answer from me but........in all honestly, not very many brothere are decent hondas in arkansas?
No offense taken man..Really though, most of the "Honda guys" are in central and north/centralwest Ar, though you can find rice here there and everywhere of course.Lol I wasnt trying to be a d**k, sarcasism at it's finest. I work in AR and I think Im the only one Ive ever seen driving around lol
can it convert to inch pounds? a lot of honda torque specs are in inch pounds.I know I know, we're all waiting for "REAL" updates. I have a few parts comming, and will have more on the way next week. I may even get this dang block in the shop soon. But untill then I got this crazy looking monster in the mail. It's made by Brownline (I never heard of them) and I only payed $99 shipped w/ the cool "blown plastic" case and all. This 1/2" drive torque wrench is fricken huge at about 22-1/2inch and ranges from 15-150 ft/lbs. I havn't got to really play with it yet but despite the fact it prolly won't do alot of good inside the engine bay I think I can make good use out of it.
Brown Line Metalworks, LLC | Professional Grade Digital Torque Wrench
I'll do a product review on it one day
I have a working link posted to thier site that you can check out. But yeah it can do both and NM. I like the fact you can set it to the torque you want to hit and it has led lights and Beeps when you hit your goal. It has a few other features that I havn't got into yet.can it convert to inch pounds? a lot of honda torque specs are in inch pounds.
Right, I'm umber paranoed about it actually lol. I have 3 now:Most torque wrenches with that big of a range would not be usable at the bottom of the range. It's accurate range probably starts at 30 ft lbs so you may want a smaller one if you want to work on bolts in the head.
Thankz! It's been right at a year now since I started buying parts (not counting tools) for this build, I just didn't buy a camera till around christmas time lol .just read through this entire thing, and you've come a long way!
its lookin great!
and i can relate with that "save / spend...but where" dillema haha
good luck!
Thankz alot! I talked to the guy that originally sold it to me and he said if it ends up being unusable that he would refund my money, so I may take you up on that offer if it comes down to itsucks about the crank! if you need a new one, i believe i have a spare sitting on my friends back porch... you can have it for cheap.
