dude, you seriously just need to stop posting in my thread. you talk like its your car or you know who i am. im focused on the show aspect? obviously about 80% of the money went into the engine w/o the powdercoating and polishing. I DID NOT powdercoat and polish the bay for show purposes. i did it because it cost me nothing, i have lots of free time, and i wanted it to look nice. just because i spent the time to make it look nice instead of just bolting everything on doesnt mean i wanted it to be a show car. if you read what ive said youd see that i said my friend owns a shop and i can use his tools for free, which includes a polishing wheel, blasting cabinet, and powder coating gun.
guess how much i paid for the dash conversion??? NOTHING. the housing for my e01??? NOTHING. i didnt spend countless hours working on it for other people to enjoy, mainly for me. if i was focused on the show aspect id have a huge stereo with screens and headlight/taillight conversions, custom paint, etc... i dont even have a sub. whats a show car w/o a stereo. all i wanted was a baddass street car with speed and looks to match. i dont care about running 10s or even 12s. my main goal was to run 13's on 18inch wheels. why is it gay because i dont want to drive on gravel for over a 1/2 mile? so i can get rock chips all over my front end. and no i do not have lots of money. im 22, go to school, and work part time making sandwiches. i bought the car 4 years ago w/ a decent amount of mods and have sold almost everything off it to get what i have now. i have a credit card maxed out and am on my 2nd bank loan. my uncle does my body work for next to nothing, and since my friend owns a shop, i get very good prices, including labor.
and talk about tacky, your trying to be all JDM with your "authentic" mugen shift knob and other bullshit but you have APC corner lights. now thats f**king lame. and why do you have a CF lip and wing??? i dont think that stuff makes you any faster. it must be a showcar then
