you see that little bar that says english above the taskbar? that's how. i can input in english and japanese. i had to download the global IME. click me
you input things in romaji, then it'll convert it into hiragana or katakana, depending on the setting, and then you can hit spacebar and it'll bring up a list of applicable kanji. i only know a few kanji, so i type everything in kana.
but that's how you type japanese.

nice to not have a problem with japanese text, too. 
^^ when your desktop is showing, press the "print screen" key on your keyboard....then immediately open up Photoshop, or MSPaint, and then right click and paste, and your desktop SHOULD paste on there....then just save/host/post
