Thanks, guys!

Actually, the rear lip was like that when I got it.. I bought it used, and the prev. owner had stock exhaust, and it was tucked up high, thus melting that portion of the lip.. I had to trim the crap out of it when I first installed it, but havent had anymore issues, since.. Had to open 'er up a little more when I put the 3" exh on, though.. :P

where are you in VA? i wouldnt mind seeing this beauty. only think i might suggest is a full detail(clay, polish, glaze, wax) to return some depth to the paint if you think its possible. looks incredible tho from start til now(finish??)

Thanks.. A good polishing will only bring out those pretty golf-ball-looking hail dents :(

Im in Winchester. I do come to Richmond every so often for work, and usually hang out there for a few days during the week. But I dont know when the next time will be - maybe in August sometime... I'll be taking a rental next trip, though...

ehh.. oh well.. :(
I like to think that the hail dents treat the car like the dimples in a golf ball - make it fly straighter! :P

I dunno yet... I'm gonna get it on the dyno, soon..

Mid August, she's gettin' Eagle H-Beam rods, ARP bolts/studs, ITR oil pump, Arias pistons 9:1s, knife-edged crank, good clutch, and an LS 5th gear, if all goes according to plan.
Once that is completed, then I focus back on the body, working on the hail damage issue and a respray. Then maybe a better suspension.
Who knows, though.. My friend's all have a wager going, betting how long I'll have it before selling it. I have a pretty good track record for building up cars then selling them, once they are about perfect ;)

keep us updated on the progress. please dont sell this one once u get it perfect. how do u like the Speedtech springs? are the tires tucked in the fenders? have any problems going into driveways and whatnot being that low?

I haven't done much at all, lately.. Funds are kinda tight, so it's slowed down progress (my son's tuition is cha-ching! )

I love the Speedtechs, actually.. I got them for 100$ through Nopi.com..
As far as tuckage, not really, if any.. But the ride is nice, I don't have hardly any troubles in driveways, and whatnot.. Only once did I drag the nose coming out of a very steep angle driveway onto the street, but only that one instance..
That, and can't strattle anything lying in the roadway, of course.. nothing much larger than a flattened squirrel, anyhoo..

how are they with handleing and ride quality?

ride quality (remember, I'm on stock shocks) is really good.. it rides just a touch firm, but not like it's on the bumpstops or anything.. Handling is really good, given the stock shocks.. I'm using added swaybars, too, as my car originally had none...
I'm quite pleased, overall, as I havent had to shell out duckets for shocks yet..

Suspension and brakes will probably be next on the list, oncve the WI and dyno stuff is out of the way..

Koni Yellow Shocks
Front and rear camber kits
DC Sports Upper front and rear strut bars
DC Sports Rear Lower Tie Bar

I think you'd like them alot, actually.. It's an overlooked spring, for sure..
