I have looked into the P90x but Im not sure if that is for me right now. I still have a ways to go. Droped 45 lbs since Aug 28. Just need to keep going on it. Starting to slack off right now.

wow great thread!
i just started going to the gym at the end of october. trying to start to eat better, etc.
more or less looking to lose some weight, build some muscle. lose my beer gut. i started playing ice hockey a little over a year ago, so im aiming to build some endurance for that.
at the gym im do anywhere from 15-30 min of jogging. 15-30 min elliptical doing either cardio or strength.
havent done any treadmill yet. work all the basic muscles. sticking with less weight/more reps right now.

Okay I'm back on it... I got a 7 day free trial with 24 Hour Fitness and I started this past Saturday... I'll probably be a member when I get paid this Friday.

Weighed myself yesterday (12/20/09): 208.6 lbs

I'll be working out pretty much everyday until I can get some edurance and stamina built up (probably until the end of this week). Then I'll start my real "work out routine."

So... some of you may remember I was in a little weight loss competition at work. Well today was the last day and I ended up losing the most. 13.56% I was happy but still not satisfied with myself at all. Because of this I just ordered the Insanity workout from Beachbody. We are going to be having a company-wide biggest loser starting something this month I think so I plan on entering and using the Insanity to help me out with this.

So lately I've been working on improving my diet. Being stuck at college doesn't help because you get soda with every meal, so I've completely cut soda out of my diet and have water instead. I've been eating mainly tuna wraps and salads instead of cheeseburgers and philly steaks. I also don't exercise much, basically the only exercise I get is walking to class everyday.

Once I graduate in May I'll be starting the P90x cause I'll have some agility tests within the next year for potential jobs.

Joined a gym at the end of October. Lost about 10lbs since then. Still eating well, cut out fast food completely, soda, snacks (as much as I can) Cut out alot of my beer drinking as well. I'd always have beer in the fridge- not anymore. Only drink on the weekends, if anything at all. Definatly lost an inch or two around the waist. Not exactly sure, but I can pull my belts another 1-2holes depending which belt Im wearing. Definatly built alot of muscle in my legs for hockey and also arms and shoulders. Happy with the results so far.

I did the fit test on insanity just a few minutes ago. When they say that you'll be the most fit of your life after 60 days, they aren't f**king around. I'm dying and it's been about 5 minutes since I did the workout. I feel like I just did an hour of cardio, and hour of legs, and an hour of upper body, all jam packed into one 45min workout....

I know what you mean man. I did that about a month ago and I haven't gone back. I have been running on the treadmill just to get my cardio and s**t up so I can not die after going that.

Luckily, even though I am over 300lbs, I am severely lucky that I have to rare body type that I do. Somehow I don't get severely winded after extreme workouts, and most of the calories I intake are turned into muscle. I went from 225 and 21% body fat to 325 and only 24% body fat, with almost 0 exercise or eating properly. I will say though, my legs are killling me.

Thats how I was after it. I had issues walking and sitting the next day I was so sore.

Day 2 of insanity: Plyometric cardio circuit aka take your legs and abs, douse them in kerosene, start sprinting and then light them on fire, wait until the fire stops burning. Rinse and repeat for 45 minutes.

Day 5 of insanity: Pure Cardio. This was the hardest thing to date, because you got 0 time to rest between any of the workouts. This is the first time since middle school football that I have puked during a workout.
