What about this going to 120-125? I know the civic prolly doesnt have a governor... but the lude certainly would... and the most my civic will go is 110 til it hits the govenors... someone clarify

all i know is the government shouldnt be mandating this s**t into our cars that f**kin cost us money, im sure the limiter is part of what you pay for when you buy a car however miniscule.

Just like f**kin airbags should be an option, my 94 accord has the damn things, its good to know that i have to replace the damn windshield if i hit some s**t because the damn pass side will break it if it deploys

good thing my moms 91 accord didnt have this airbag bullshit. 8)

your friend ither doesn't know how to drive or he let you win... and to let you win is to look like a fool cause his car would beat yours anyday.... so i guess he just cant drive.

you ever thought about weight? your civic weights a bit less than the prelude, plus when you both started on a rolling start, your already moving, so you dont have to worry about hooking up. Your Z6 tranny has very nice short gears as well, so when you are in 2nd gear, you really start to move. You never specified what motor type your friends car has either. But as you said, he started to catch up...race him from a dead stop...uhhh...at the track of course, and see who wins...

personally I dont see why you guys are getting up to 115 in SOHC. It takes a good half-mile to a mile to get up to that speed, and for racing thats just dumb. A blow out at 115 = fatality. f**k a blow out at 60+ with a lowered car is f**king scary.

/dusts his shoulder off... walked away untouched from a 75mph 540 spin across 3 lanes of traffic and a guard rail.

Don't be a f**king jackass and put yourself, others, and your car at risk. I wasn't racing or speeding (well 5 over) and I lost my car. And it sucks. Just realize what youre putting on the line other than your "respect"

Glad they don't put that s**t on bikes!

I have a 2002 Yamaha R1 as my REAL speed machine. My civic will get up there but in comparison, it takes forever! My bike cruises at 110mph. You really don't feel like your going fast till at least 90 or so. I can tell you though, 155 is really really scarry! Not planning on that again any time soon!

Keep it on all fours!

:smokin: I have a 99' Civic EX coupe. At the local track, (Music City Raceway) which is 1/8 mile, I can run 9.7 or so. All I have is a cold air intake, Greddy muffler, no resinator, and 2.25 aluminum exaust. I thought that's not too bad for an automatic.

I know how that feels. I wrecked my Integ that way. At least the engine was ok. I did actually get out of that unscratched. I also had time to yell at the Del Sol that made me spin out. That guard rail gave no justice to my car though. Just demolished the Muh'f**ka. After that day I sold my engine got the 02 Si and doin' great. Lol
