Why isn't the 7th gen Si hatch more popular?

it's a nice car with a few mods done to it. Bone stock it looks weird....like a cross between Ford Focus and a Honda Odyssey gone bad. I heard the new McPherson Strut suspension isn't as great as the double wishbone the 99-00 Si sedans came with. They should just go back to making an Si sedan, and get rid of the egg on wheels.

I like the new EP3......I think Honda could have givin the K some more balls to make up for the weight. SUPPOSEDLY there is a coupe in R&D.....But dont take my word for it.

They're not all THAT bad..they're decent..I don't like the 04's much the front headlights are alright but the rear tails are discusting..Drives alright..handling haven't really taken it to it's max..But I like the 01-03..04 sucks..

FYI, I had a 03 EP3 with the following mods:

1.) Eibach PRO-KIT
2.) 17" Konig Blatants
3.) K&N Typhoon Intake
4.) Neuspeed Catback
5.) Neuspeed Front Strut brace
6.) Hondata
7.) Neuspeed Short Shifter

AND IT STILL REMAINED EXCESSIVELY SLOW. AND EXTREMELY UGLY
Dynoed it at Abacus Racing, was putting down a measly
142 fwhp & 120 fwt. The only thing I will give props to was it's exceptional handling.
Other than that it was a good waste of near 4k in extras, I sold it and bought a 350Z.

just have a lil rant, the onse saying you think it sucks or what ever, have you even sat in it drivin around in one for a day? personaly i love my/pops 04 si, the thing is a beast ac not taking half the power when you turn it on, shifter in the dash very compfortable and closer tot he wheel for any one who like to run around fun roads, interior is a+. even tho some of you saying it only revs to 7k, yes it may but hell the f**ker pulls like a bat outa hell belive me if taken a couple vdubs and being able to churp the tires in first couple gears on a bone stock car is awesome. the thing handles close to a go kart straight off the lot, nice and stiff......im done for now.


also i think the price might scare some people away....

Ya I do agree... I dont like the new heads and tails on the 04's. I do like however the 5 lug conversion as well as the factory kit. I also like the 02-03 CTR kit versus the new 04 CTR kit.

Wow that sucks bro.. mine dyno'ed that stock at TRG without all the equipment I have on it now. Err... 143 fwhp that is stock. I havent had the time though to check it to see where I am at now.

Well it is a 4-cylinder. An intake and exhaust is gonna be minimal. And 17 inch rims would kill any bolt-on performance you tried to make.

At least you made a good step in the right direction when trading.

wait til u drive it with the dash mounted shifter... it's very sweet... and very euro (as LOTS of euro cars have dash mounted shifters)... it's a nice reminder that 7gen civics are a european creation.

I drove it. I didn't mind, but if it's manual, I gotta:

1. Recline the seat back...
2. Lean back and to the right...
3. Left hand on the steering wheel...
4. Right hand on the shifter...

Can't exactly follow those guidelines with the new Si.
