Nice, I just picked up another NA on Saturday...going to completely gut it, take out anything unnecessary on the motor and use it to AutoX in since I am selling the Wagon...only paid $700...it had a brand new glass soft top with it, new pro-kit springs, and new tires...already sold the spring for $100 and swapped the top over to the red one as well as the wheels...

Oh damn, yeah I heard SC is getting pounded. We've had two crazy ass snowstorms, but hasn't stopped my miata! haha. If I got stopped on a hill, it probably wouldn't have gone anywhere further though lol..

So, I just found a Garage Vary lip for 160$, so I got it! I miss my old one so I had to get another.
So, wheels, lip and tires all on their way. When the tax returns hit, expect a roll bar and exhaust!

Yessir, definitely excited to get this build back on track!

Anywho, I had a few old vacuum and coolant lines break on me when I was cleaning them (lol), so I decided to finally replace all the worn crap with my business' silicone vacuum line.
Here's a shot of the difference in line...rubber 21 year old line on the left, and brand new silicone line. Notice the wall difference too. The new line got a little dirty from my hands haha.

I replaced my coolant reservoir line also...when I snapped it off...look what came out of it..

So yeeeaaa...I don't think age is agreeing with the motor haha. Anywho, also installed one of my business' filters too. Much cleaner in the bay. I will be making my own intake here soon, so I can direct it back to where my front turn signal intake is though, cause I'm sure the heat from the header is really helping... That will come soon!

Sorry for the crappy updates...I just gotta keep myself sane till the real goodies come in ;)

didnt you just change the radiator? no flushing of the lines while you were in there or is this another newer issue?

I flushed the whole system, that there is a brand new problem. The radiator fluid was kinda nasty when I flushed it, but nothing THAT bad.

Miata's are fun. I've driven and autox'd a few older and newer MX-5's and also boosted a '99 before. With the right setup, they can really kick some ass. Looks like you got a nice pickup.

Most definitely. Even bone stock Miata's can kickass at auto-x! Thanks for the comment!

ugh oh.........I hope that's just a bad coolant service. Love that fatboy radiator
Yeah, I'll be doing a full rebuild within a month or so though, so it should be taken care of =)

Thanks man!

So after a few snowstorms, I finally got to wash my car...and then this happened! Miata rear finish panels are VERY brittle, especially after 20 years. I was lucky that mine wasn't cracked in the first place...but it was bound to happen soon.

But, it broke off in a clean section, so I repaired it. You can still see the outline of the crack, but whatever.

Some of you may remember, I replaced my seats with my buddy's old Miata. His were in much better condition, and he was selling his so he let me swap them for free. Anyways, I looked inside and found something nice..

Headrest speakers! Only certain models came with these, mine did not. His werent even hooked up, which is why I never found them. Since I'll be getting a roll bar here soon, my custom rear speakers will have to come out, but thankfully I can hook those things up.

GV front lip, tires and OEM rear lip should be in this coming week, stay tuned!

What roll bar did you end up going with? I'm sure you've said it but I'm on my phone and too lazy to flip through pages..

Thanks fellas. And actually to be honest, I don't think I ever listed what bar I'll be going with. Anywho, I went with a M2 Hard Dog Sport bar with double Diagonals.
