I love that puppy
haha! It has been Child's latest best friend!
Like the cliche stuff says. Build what you want and how you want it. I have always sought after a turbo'd d series but cutting a bumper up for an intercooler is not something I would want to do. The cool factor of a turbo d will always be admired and can provide some great power. Also can be gas efficient with proper tuning. I just love the lego block of a valve cover b series' have, however it is the iconic motor for hondas (granted the k series has become recently popular and favored). dseries will be around forever so it seems, and they are a dime a dozen. Chances are high to replace a d series.I'm just gonna save money for a while... I checked my control arms, the paint was cheap and it chips, I'm gonna go buy good paint and re coat. Whenever that's done I'll have pics of them up with bushings.
Thank you for the knowledgable input! I'm deffinately leaning more towards a b16 like I wanted now. I'm just gonna cross my fingers and hope he y7 can hold out for 3 or 4 more months while I save and peice the swap together. I love the b16, and its standard in Japan, it belongs in that bay!!Like the cliche stuff says. Build what you want and how you want it. As have I! That's why I was so on the fence about them.I've read mainly good reviews on the eibach and thought of getting it for myself.
Yeah, right after I posted that I picked up a used 99-00 ex front oem sway bar off eBay for 27.99. I guess I'm going oem front and possibly the 95 ex 13mm rear. I know where one sits down he road from my house at the local salvage yard for 30$. I guess I'll re paint them black like my front lca's. I wonder if they will work well with my spring rates? I just want to feel them when I corner hard. So I figured that its deffinately and upgrade from nothing at all.The OEM option will most likely be cheaper, but it really comes down to personal preference.
Sure thing, we threw my old s-techs and struts on it tonite and made a short ram intake out of an old v6 mustang intake and old couplers. We just ground the sleeve on the rear strut bushings on each side until the struts fit the lca's. clean up and detail 2mrw!Nice man! Post some pics of it all cleaned up.
Haha yeah my brother has always rigged up stuff to work, since he had his first set of Legos..Innovation right there haha
Thanks man! I'm going to try and get him to make a build thread on here.
