Have you tried the link I've circled?

    manual transmission noise: 07 civic

Absolutely, if it's the input shaft bearing.

    manual transmission noise: 07 civic

Symptoms point to the input shaft bearing, though the noise would get louder with increased RPMs, independent of vehicle speed. But it would def be heard when driving or in neutral, and would go away with the clutch pedal pushed in. In neutral, if you rev the engine, does the noise get louder?

    Civic newb

With that budget I think you should be fine. Why no boost, though? A motor such as the B18B holds boost very well, reliably. I managed 250whp on mine with stock block and stock head with a .60 trim. I could have easily gotten more if I had built the internals. It was also my daily and other than...

    Civic newb

If you want to go all-motor, you just made it a bit harder to get 350whp. You also just raised the cost compared to boosting. That being said, what's your budget?

    Civic newb

Very doable to obtain that power. Though for it to be a daily and reliable....? Cheap, Fast, Reliable. Pick two out of the three, you'll never get the 3rd one. B or K series will be your best bet. K series is a bit more difficult to swap to than a B series. B series drops right in; just need...

"The Mothership" - 1998 Civic - Maintenance Log

Let us know how it goes once you get it back together. Hopefully it does not blow up though lol. If you still have issues with it, maybe there's a junkyard near you or a solid Craiglist find you can come about for a new transmission.

    Speedometer off

Yep. My 97 Sedan was off by 3mph when I had oem wheels with winter tires on. About 5 mph off with my larger summer wheels.

Went to the food truck rodeo yesterday. Last Wednesday of the month like 20 food trucks get together for some goood food. There's also a live band and beer. Got myself some taco's and poutine, and a $50 parking ticket. :(

    Do I need a tune?

Those two bolded statements contradict though, haha. I would ignore the cheap turbo kit, and wait until you get parts of good quality. This will save you money in the long run. Less tuning, less work, and less chance of breaking things if/when the Chinese parts fail. A boost spike due to junk...

    Do I need a tune?

The tune is the most important part of adding forced induction to a Honda motor. If you cheap out on the turbo kit (also not advised; cheap chinese turbo's with oil problems and stainless steel manifold that will break), definitely don't cheap out on the tuning!

    B18b1 swap into 1998 Civic

:welcome: to ClubCivic! Good platform to work with.. same car I put a B18 into! Hard to remember all of the parts off the top of my head, but as HeX mentioned, search around and you'll definitely find the answers as this is a pretty common swap. B18 motor / tranny B16 Rear T bracket Integra...

    Buying First Honda Questions...

What are your plans? If you're looking to modify one, stick to 96-00 unless you get a 01-05 Civic Si. 01-05 non-Si's you can't really do much with. With whatever you look for, get the VIN, and run a report. Get all of the maintenance history you can. Find out when the clutch, timing belt, and...

New spark plugs in the DC5 and a fresh wash yesterday. My buddy just got an S2000 for a damn near steal. Older man in his 50's selling an 02 S2000 with 66k, mint condition white, for $9500. My buddy ran the VIN, it came back as a 2005. Either something is amiss, or the guy didn't know he had an...

It arrived 9:19 to USPS sort facility (Lexington Ave I am guessing). Left at 3:59. Arrived at Henrietta post office 4:34. I'm pretty sure that's also a sort facility though.... haha. Or maybe because you're in Pittsford (I think?), they just shoot down 252 to deliver to you. That's as best as I...
