:welcome: If you want a B18 engine, you'll probably want a B18 transmission, though any B-series one will work. You can use the same harness in there now, though you'll need to modify it. There's wiring to be done, moreso if you go with a Vtec engine, and especially if your motor now is not...

It's 56* here right now in Rochester. It was around this time last year that Buffalo was hit with the Snowpocalypse and had 6 FEET of snow dumped on them. This year they haven't even had anything measurable.

Any easy "pre-check" to the motor mounts, is to simply pop the hood and see if you can shake /rock the motor. It should move slightly, but if you can get it rocking, chances are you have a motor mount issue.

Also check the heatshield as previously mentioned. This is a very common issue with these cars, though it will produce a rattle, not a clunk.

Yeah, I'd remove the piping, turbo, and exhaust manifold, and get replacements. Do you know if the car is tuned and / or what it's tuned on? Half ass build could mean half-ass or no tune, which means you could be replacing parts just for them to break again...

89 is our low grade here... we have 89, 91, 93. It's unavoidable sometimes haha. Though some places have 87, the place I go to does not, not that it matters for me anyways.

I'd recommend a tune-up. Fuel filter, check the spark plugs, plug wires, inspect dizzy cap & rotor, oil change if it's been awhile... Run some fuel injector cleaner through the system. How's the air filter look? Also, might want to look into testing a new primary o2 sensor, as bad sensor can...

I haven't looked into him much.. did he OD? All I know is that he passed on his tour bus, but the couple articles I read didn't mention how.
