Thanks alot smitty. I really enjoy working on my car, and its great to know that I am doing the work, not bringing it to some speed shop and paying way to much to be like everyone else. Your right, some people dont get the lure of RHD.. But its mine. and I have wanted one WAY before having a civic was cool. I will keep my car for a while.. it means alot to me. but I will be doing another project later down the line. After I get it back up and running I will spend some time and get my website up with a complete build up and everything. I will also make sure to list the suppliers that I used so if anyone else is so inclined they have the resources. Hopefully today I will get the wiring done and see if she starts. The electrical is really going to be a b***h since they cut the computer harness in the clip I am using and had to rebuild it. and I'm still waiting on a few other pieces to get it where its drivable again. I hate that I wont have it done before I drive it, But being down a car is rough when you have a kid. look for more pics today!!

The shop I work at is in Phoenix, I live in surprise.. I wouldnt mind if you stopped by and checked it out, PM me and we can make arrangements. As for the color, Its bahama blue mica, 98-04. I saw it on an 230 Kompressor that we worked on at the shop. had the painter print me off a label for the color code. oh yeah, If anyone EVER wants to do a RHD, if you get a JRSC you will need to move ALOT of stuff around to keep your A/C and P/S. it seems the pully likes to occupy the space that the lines reside. so I may not have A/C for a few more days. But I'm sure we will get it figured out.

I didnt take any pics last nite since most of what we did was electrical. and pics of putting the axles in and connecting the shift linkage is not all that thrilling. hehe hope to have more tonight thats worth taking pics of.. I might get the dash prepped and dyed black. and hopefully get the harness in enough to put in the heater core and blower box.

it's funny to me that you're claming every car that your family owns as your own.... if i did that i'd have to list around 95 cars.......

and meepers, does your state require any sort of inspections on vehicles when you sell them or title them? will yours be concidered frame damaged or altered frame? DONT LET THAT s**t GET ON THE TITLE

I shouldnt have any problems as far as that goes. The last car we had to put a cowl in the state just made us document what was replaced. they did not reassign the vin or anything. I was concerned about it so I called to make sure. they said as long as 80% of the structure remained in tact I wouldnt need an inspection. The other nice part about working at a body shop.

I could have picked up a 94 EG6 for 6500 bucks.. but then it still needed to be titled and registered, unless I ran a dealer plate on it. but considering that my car will cost less then that, and spank just about anything 10x its price.... im content for now..

I would love to be there to see this. I would also love to see the look on the face of the cop the first time you get pulled over. How will you go through drive throughs? Dude you are doing a dream project. Good luck and have fun.

yes we are in severe need of more progress pics.. or i am at least.. do you have any idea what most places charge for a RHD conversion if parts are supplied.. cause i thought about having my ek hatch done eventually since building from a RHD shell has so many probs with registration and stuff.. if no one knows a going rate how much would you do one for meepers?..

i would attempt converting myself but the little welding experience i do have hasnt been pretty so that is the only thing i would really need to have someone wipe for me on.. other than that if you had a write up i might get brave enough one day to tackle it, but geez i have bad feelings about it.. lol.. you heard if ek's are any easier/harder? sorry for all the ?'s man.. thanks!
