the ONLY argument made that is even valid is that if a rand0m object like oh i dont know.. a cougar.. or maybe a case of bottled water.. or a stray shot put comes flying through my wind shield i wont be able to duck out of the way, this IS true.. but i hardly think it makes any real world difference.. i mean you would need to compile information on all the things that flew through windshields.. compare it to how many people actually saw it and reacted in time.. remove the variable of those who it just happened to not hit as to ONLY count those that saw and moved in time to come up with a figure that is even worth considering.. and somehow im pretty sure that the amount of people who are able to duck that stray office chair coming through the windshiled in time to prevent injury due to having an oem seatbelt on are at the lower end of the spectrum..

stray objects as in mailboxes, fire hydrants, guard rails, bike racks, the list could go on. not very imaginative are you? a water bottle LOL. and it's not the fact if you move it's if you are able to move. as i said you just don't get it. it's cool though, rock your racing parts on the street where they do more harm than good, it's your life. i'm going to find a different topic.

so fill me in.. a fire hydrant comes through the windshield.. and having the oem belt is safer than the harness.. ok your right.. you just proved it to me.. i TOTALLY see where that would be WAY safer;)

sarcasm by the way..

edit: omg i sure am glad i didnt have a racing harness on when that bike rack came flying through my windshield... i was lucky i was able to jump into the back seat.. i would have been dead witha harness...

id rather take my chances with a roll cage around me and takata's holden me secure against a racing bucket seat than oem seats with oem seatbelts anyday. but hey thats just me

edit: and for the ppl that said they knew ppl that died in accidents where ppl would have lived if they had not been wearing sealt belts. i lost my best friend to a accident and he would have lived if he had chose to not wear his belt. and the driver that lived didnt wear one, he would have lost his life if he had chose to wear his.

i dont see it as getting out of control, more like ppl that cant/wont back up there statements with facts and or being too lazy to read the thread

there has yet to be actual proof that a roll cage with a bucket seat and a harness will make a car more dangerous than a car with oem belts and seats.
