    Gotta pay to play.

Nice! Needs a little work but honestly that's a great platform to build off of. And that's cool you got to register it as historic! I would get that rust fixed as a priority if you can. It's not bad now but it can quickly take a turn for the worst. Looks like you're in MD so I don't know what...

I've had the laziest Saturday in a long time. St. Paddy's Day parade was today but it was 20 degrees and lots of wind, so didn't go. Spent the day playing Xbox, watching golf, drinking beer, and eating chinese food. Honestly I am stupid bored.

DSM 450's will use a resistor box so if you don't want to go that route, you can't use those. You'll need saturated injectors. These are the injectors I had with my setup, and they worked great.

Motor for boost, options: 2000 civic hatchback

B18B would be your best bet for the power goal you want to achieve. I had a B18B and with stock internals I managed just about ~250whp. That budget is borderline, but should be doable. You should set roughly $500 aside for tuning along. If there is one thing you should never cheap out on, it's...

Motor for boost, options: 2000 civic hatchback

The D16Y7 motor is an economy motor, not one for power. You can boost it, absolutely, but as @Ep3po said, what's your power goal and budget? It's much easier to get 250whp out of a B18 than it would be a D16. This subject has been covered extensively. Please research the different types of D...

Can I drive with a broken shock?

You'll probably be ok, but I would get it fixed ASAP. It's not like the tire will fall off (been there, done that), you just might have a fairly uncomfortable ride. I would recommend not going 2 weeks with it though. Find one from a junkyard or something and rent a spring compressor to swap it out.

Some damage from the crazy wind we had yesterday. No rain, just wind. @young_ come on up to Rochester... bring your chainsaw!

I'd be weary of any non-name brand parts. Hit or miss. I honestly couldn't tell you if those are good or not.

Personally, I went with Injector Dynamics 725cc's. They're pricey, though. You're looking at ~$450-500 for those. You can go real cheap and find DSM "blue tops", but you'll have to get a resistor box and wire them to that. 550cc is plenty for what you need. Honestly that was probably plenty for...

I don't know much about them but I'm sure they're fine. Do some research on them, look up reviews, compare to others. Look into Walbro 255lph fuel pump. It doesn't hurt to shop around.

Disable seatbelt chime: 2012 civic sedan

Really, OP, you should be trying to convince your aunt to just wear her seat belt. "They have their reasons"? What, unconformable? When she gets into an accident and flies through the glass, she'll be much more uncomfortable then.

New 2017 Honda Civic Type R Makes Global Debut at Geneva Motor Show

Definitely at the top of my next car list. Not looking for a new car for another 2 years or so (once all my school loans are paid off). I WANT IT.

Yeah, that's a solid setup. Similar to the entry kit I used through them back in 2010. You'll still need fuel management (bigger injectors, higher fuel pump), and tuning, but it's a good kit overall!

Stay away from stainless manifolds. Get an iron cast one. But that's a cheap kit, they're hit or miss, and usually miss. Chinese turbo... meh. Spend a little more and see if Go-Autoworks has some kits available. You'll get quality parts and good customer service. But be prepared to spend more...

    Yo. What's up, Clubcivic?

Because it's an archive ;) When we restructured the forums a little while back, we took many of the old / dead build threads and made them read-only.
