Do you have extra sound deadening material lining the trunk, door panels, firewall, etc? Could also be the cause. I've also heard people report that smell by running over a plastic bag and having it get stuck to the exhaust and start to melt as you mentioned. This is definitely a strange one.

Header and exhaust manifold are the same thing. Is the cat built into the manifold? If so you have an LX manifold. If you have a 3rd o2 bung, make sure it's blocked off. As long as you have one o2 sensor pre-cat, and the other on or behind the cat, you will be fine. But make sure the pre-cat o2...

Tried? So you did or didn't? lol. I have a stronger feeling your issue lies with these sensors. Make sure your primary o2 sensor is pre-cat, and your secondary o2 sensor is post-cat. Make sure the primary 02 sensor is good.

Is the CEL on? I had a very identical issue with the bogging down. I ended up being the primary o2 sensor. It was functioning but screwy, I'm guessing sending weird signals to the ECU. Car worked fine when the engine was cold because the car does not use O2 sensor feedback until the car reaches...

:welcome: Are you planning on doing an auto to manual swap? Any D15/D16 engine will work. You can also swap in B16/B18/B20 motors but they will be more expensive. I guess, what are you trying to accomplish with this car? Fuel efficiency? More power? Just want it fixed and running?

If you get a medical license, are you still not allowed because of your job / drug test possibility? No idea how that works. But if you can, look into high CBD, low THC weed.. it's less psychoactive and helps more with pain.
