    D16y8 turbo problem

In theory it should, because the ECU should be seeing a lean condition once boost starts building. So yeah you're right. I suppose if the O2 sensor isn't hooked up it wouldn't detect the lean issue though? idk

Low gas idiot light not lighting.

Honestly I'm not sure. Mine never came on ever. I even ran out of gas once (parked on a hill and wouldn't start in the morning) Can anyone else who currently owns a Civic confirm this? @HeX ?

Low gas idiot light not lighting.

Have you just not gone low enough on fuel to trigger the light? You could try this troubleshooting method?

Unsure about the mods on this! Halp!

They cost more because CAD =/= USD ;) $5k CAD is $3800 USD. Honestly with all those parts, it's not a bad deal at all. 72000 miles on a rust free Civic in Canada is definitely harder to find though. I can't even find a non-rusty Civic here in NY

    Exhaust manifold replacement.

It depends. The gasket could be totally shot, or it might just be worn in one area. But if you're going to replace the exhaust manifold, you will definitely want to replace the gasket anyways. As for getting the bolts out, you can try hitting them with a torch to loosen them up. You can also hit...

    Exhaust manifold replacement.

:welcome: to ClubCivic! I would first make sure it's not the gasket, that should be an easy fix if it is. If not, you can do the o2 defouler trick, there's a ton of writeups on how to do so. You can also get an aftermarket header and aftermarket cat -- if it doesn't bolt up you can have a shop...

    D16y8 turbo problem

^ Exactly. eBay turbo's nowadays are hit or miss, mostly miss. After we boosted my Civic, I drove my untuned car about 30 miles to the tuner, but making sure to did so very carefully, and stayed in vacuum the entire time. Once you try to hit boost untuned, the sensors see WAY more air than it...

    D16y8 turbo problem

This. Don't drive an untuned car! You're going to damage it. Get it tuned first. Your ECU has no idea wtf is going on right now basically. The tune is THE most important part of forced induction, imo.
