How would you know that the school I went to wasn't inner city? How do you know how many black kids went there too?BlackHope121 said:you know your right the few amount of black kids you grew up with did have equal chances like you did
there is nothing wrong with your logic.. you are just a classic case of how most dont know how it really is
you have never seen inner city schools or even been in inner city minority areas so this is why you think this way..
Btw theres alot more black kids in the inner city schools then the ones that you grew up with
My school had metal detectors. We had cops too. So did the surrounding schools. There are certainly some places that it wouldn't be a good idea to walk to school or even wait for the bus. We had some real crap teachers too. I was in band and never once was I even given music (I played the f**king 'piano'!).BlackHope121 said:metal detectors to keep drug dealors and weapons out
dangerous neighborhoods where you just cant simply "walk to school"
poor teaching because good teachers are too afraid to work in dangerous neighborhood..
budget cuts.. no afterschool activities..
I bet youve never even seen an inner city school.. They look like prisons.. Many have chicken wire on the fences..
I didnt take into account that most have no clue what really goes on .... if youve seen what ive seen and you still think black have equal opportunities then your probally a racist
I remember seeing people getting arrested and oh, don't forget the guy who touched me inappropriately ended up later going to jail for murder. I got called in to be a character witness. Fun. (White guy btw!)
I honeslty couldn 't give you the name of anyone off hand who went to Harvard. Black, white, whatever.br0nx finest said:for example, how many whites do you see in harvard? many, i am sure. now, how many blacks do you see in harvard? for whatever reason, they are outnumbered, so society gives them a hand up (not a hand out) to hopefully make a better life for themselves.
(Not to mention if you bring up names of politicians or anyone else 50+ then you're particularly going to run into the argument that schools were still segregated, etc. back then.)
