yeah if the vtec solenoid gasket doesn't work then I guess I'll just find the next closest spot,

yeah I was actually surprised these sound as good as they do, but maybe its just the dynamics of the car. I did tweak things a bit to find the best sound, if I leave both back seats down it sounds like crap, If I leave the 60 seat back down it has a blurr in it, and if leave the 40 seat down and they have a thump so it's nicer.

That would be awesome, to be honest I hate that they're in the trunk period. I'm use to SUV's and trucks where I have the sub right behind my seat (I've always chosen sound quality over passenger comfort haha)

anybody have any ideas how I can get a little more hp out of this motor, I hate watching civic videos and seeing how many more RPM they get before shift time than I do lol I was told header doesn't make a big difference on this motor, but I want to do something with it
You have the y8 motor correct?

got my 4 gauge wire and 5/16 ring terminals to start my big 3 upgrade, not gonna do it until I get my battery terminal for the negative on the battery. For right now I'm just doing motor - ground, tranny - ground and negative - ground. I'll mess with the alternator stuff once I get my new battery

Had to get some blue wiring didn't you, nice color, are you doing all of your wires that way?

ha yeah had to be blue. I'm doing three of the wires for now (three grounds) and then later I'm going to do the alternator - positive battery. Probably wont tackle this job for a couple more days cause I'm hoping to get back to the body work this weekend.

I think I've decided I want a spoiler/wing,

I'm looking for something like this, real sleek and simple. Maybe a little taller and without the light. I think it would give my car that look I'm going for, but seems like sedan wings are slim pickin' compared to coupe.

Tilt anyone?

The y8 and d series in general dont respond well to bolt ons so you wont get much hp increase from them. That being said i buy the bolt ons because i need something to work on or i go crazy and my car cant be down for the time for any major mod as it is my dd. I have i/e header in the mail on its way saving up for skunk2 intake mani b series t-body and hondata gaskets you will be able to tell the difference a little with bolt ons and it will add hp but not much i/h/e is prolly good for 5-8 hp.

What spoiler is that? I'd love that on my sedan.

Not a big fan of spoilers, but that one looks pretty good. I will probably never get one though dont like the way any spoilers i have seen look on coupes. That looks good on the four door though.

Yea the sedan's look good with the spoiler, some coupe's do with an after market one, just depends, I think carbon fiber ones are nice but a little out dated IMO.

Yeah thats how i feel too i have seen a couple coupes with aftermarket spoilers that looked good, but usally around here if i see a spoiler on a civic its either the oem one that came on it or some huge ricer wing.

haha,

I just want something to make it not look so much like a flat mini van. I got the main part of the other sides ugly splash decal off today, buttt it's 40F so it makes it hard. Last time we did the other side we had a bright hot sun to help so I need to get some more goo gone tomorrow so it will be easier.

I went yesterday and got two more keys made for the car at walmart (cost me $3.60 for both) so I asked what it would cost to get another set made for my mountaineer and they said $60! lol so I'm glad the civic key is not computer chipped. Tested them out and they both work perfectly. I'm waiting on my brake light bulb to come in so I can put all my plastics back in,

hopefully tomorrow or tuesday it will. Also I'll be able to put in my new LED gauge bulbs and fix the side that is blown.

Waiting on my LED dash lights as well, should be here tuesday, I modified my third brake lens by cutting out the middle piece behind the red lens, it made it a little brighter with a regular bulb, wonder what an red LED bulb would look like?

Question, does the CEL come on when you first turn the car on like the other lights (battery, SRS, ect.) just as a test, I'm just wondering if the bulb is blown, need to hook up the computer to the car to see if I get any code, BTW I have no issues at the moment but I like to be safe then sorry.

Say no to the ricer wing b***h! LOL!
Wish some folks around where i live took this advice. I solve the having to pick out spoiler problem by never getting on for my car dont look right to me. 4 doors with them are pretty clean looking though

My car comes with the stock EX spoiler, but I do like how the higher stock ones look!
