You don't have to, but it's recommended. If you don't, P and D on your auto cluster will flash non-stop, which gets pretty annoying.

I'm talking about the tires you currently have on there.. they're pretty beefy. You might get them to fit with no rubbing if you get smaller tires.. 185/55/14 or something. I'm not a tire or fitment expert though.

Use the guide above ^^ and pick up some LED bulbs of the correct type from Amazon. In my RSX, I replaced all the interior lights, license plate light, and trunk light with LEDs and it cost me like $8, and came with a few spare LEDs.

It sounds to me like a whirring noise that goes away when I depress the clutch. It's hard to explain sounds via text lol. I can't say for sure it sounds like a flywheel spinning because that in itself shouldn't make a noise.

Sounds like a TO bearing or input shaft bearing. My RSX is currently making the same noise right now.. been that way for about a year so far. :/

One of the plugs that you disconnected from the auto shifter is a 14P plug. Cut the plug off. Your going to have a 2 thicker black wires and 1 black/blue wire, Solder those 3 together. Those together send a signal to the ECU telling it that it's in park, and also to release the key and start...

You don't need to wire in the clutch safety switch if you don't want to. You can solder a couple wires from where you cut the auto shiftier console (can't remember which ones), and that will bypass the switch or the need for a switch. That's what I did when I did my swap.. much easier. Just...

Does this issue happen when the motor is cold too? Or only when it's reached operating temp. Could be an O2 sensor issue (I had issues very closely related to what you're experiencing)

Depends on the condition. Up here, rust free 6th gens are uncommon, so they're a little bit more $. Down south, I can assume they'd be cheaper. $2500 is still a lot though.
